There was no lack of excitement in the last round games. The round ended with favorites losing the games and games ending by tiny margin.

The most exciting game of round 8 in the TB2L took place in Usak. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 8th ranked Gelisim (4-4) to third ranked Usak (6-2) 81-78 on Wednesday evening. Host team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. Gelisim was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Usak dominated down low during the game scoring 42 of its points in the paint compared to Gelisim's 20. Usak forced 19 Gelisim turnovers. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Usak made 7 blocks. 29 personal fouls committed by Gelisim helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Justin Carter (193-87, college: Creighton, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 8 rebounds and the other American import forward Eric Buckner (208-90, college: Georgia St., agency: David Lee services) who added 18 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. American guard Michael Porrini (187-89, college: Kent St.) responded with 12 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists. Gelisim's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Usak maintains third position with 6-2 record behind leader Darussafaka, which they share with Maliye Milli. Gelisim at the other side dropped to the ninth place with four games lost. They share the position with Pertevniyal and Yesilgiresun. Usak is looking forward to face Istanbul B.B. (#13) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Gelisim will play against Istanbulspor (#16) and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
TB2L top team - Darussafaka (7-1) added another victory to their record. This time they beat eighteenth ranked Izmir BSB (0-8) 83-77. The winners were led by Serbian center Aleksandar Petrovic (204-87) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds and Marcus Hall supported him with 17 points and 4 assists. Even 18 points and 5 rebounds by forward Gurur Baybora (-90) did not help to save the game for Izmir BSB. Izmir BSB's coach tested twelve players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Darussafaka have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 7-1 record, which they share with Selcuk Univ.
