Here is the weekly review of the top performing Turkish players, who play currently abroad.

   #1. This week's number one is an international forward Ersan Ilyasova (207-87, currently plays in NBA). He led Milwaukee Bucks to a 1-point victory over the Chicago Bulls (8-7) 93-92 in the NBA in Monday night's game. Ilyasova was MVP of the game. He scored 18 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 22 minutes on the court. The Milwaukee Bucks have 8-7 record this season. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. Ilyasova has relatively good stats this year: 7.3ppg, 4.9rpg, 1.6apg, 2FGP: 40.7%, 3FGP: 22.6% and FT: 57.9% in the 14 games he played so far. He played for the Turkish senior national team one years ago.

Omer Asik
Omer Asik
   #2. Second place goes to an international center Omer Asik (213-86, currently plays in NBA). Asik led Houston Rockets to an easy victory against the Toronto Raptors (4-13) 117-101 in the NBA last Tuesday. He recorded a double-double by scoring 13 points and getting 18 rebounds. The Houston Rockets have 8-8 record this season. But the season just started, so everything may happen. It's Asik's first year with the team. This season Asik has relatively solid stats: 11.0ppg, 12.3rpg, 1.3apg, 1.3bpg, 2FGP: 49.6% and FT: 58.3%. He played for the Turkish national team in 2011.

   #3. The Turkish player who performed third best last week abroad was an international center Enes Kanter (208-92, college: Kentucky, currently plays in NBA), who plays in the NBA. Kanter could not help the Utah Jazz (9-9) in their last game. Despite his very good performance the Utah Jazz lost 94-106 on the road to the Oklahoma City Thunder. Kanter was the top scorer with 18 points. He also added 7 rebounds in a mere 15 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only Kanter's second season in pro basketball. But the season is still in it's first stage and everything can happen. This year Kanter averages: 5.4ppg, 3.8rpg, 2FGP: 53.1% and FT: 57.1% in the 18 games. He is also a member of the Turkish senior national team.

   #4. Forward Deniz Kilicli (206-90, currently plays college basketball in the States) led W.Virginia to an easy victory against the Virginia Military Institute crushing them 94-69 in the NCAA in Wednesday night's game. He scored 13 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in a mere 16 minutes. The West Virginia University has 0-1 conference record this season. Kilicli is one of the most experienced players in a team as it's his fifth year in W.Virginia's roster. Kilicli has reliable stats this season: 11.2ppg, 4.5rpg, 1.4apg and 1.8spg in the 11 games. He used to play for the Turkish U20 national team back in 2010.

   #1. Erkan Inan (192-G-89, currently plays in Sweden) contributed to a 2-point 08 Stockholm's victory against the closely-ranked LF Basket (6-7) 103-101 in the Swedish Basketligan in Friday night's game. Inan scored 9 points, grabbed 5 rebounds and made 2 blocks. 08 Stockholm (8-6) is placed sixth in the Basketligan. It's Inan's first season with the team. He has reliable stats this year: 12.2ppg, 4.1rpg, 3.3apg and 1.1spg.

   #2. Serkan Inan (198-G-86, currently plays in Sweden), who plays in the Swedish Basketligan could not help White Eagles (4-10) in their last game. Despite Inan's good performance White Eagles lost 66-71 on the road to the leading Sundsvall Dragons. He was the second best scorer with 10 points. Inan also added 4 rebounds in 31 minutes. It's Inan's first season with the team. He has reliable stats this year: 11.2ppg, 4.5rpg, 1.4apg and 1.8spg in the 11 games he played so far. Inan has a dual citizenship: Turkish and Swedish.

   #3. Kevin Kaspar (183-G-92, currently plays college basketball in the States) managed to help Western Kentucky University to win against the University of Louisiana at Monroe (0-2) 65-54 in the NCAA on Thursday night. He scored only 4 points. The Western Kentucky University has 2-0 conference record this season. But there are still lots of games to play and it's a long way to go. Kaspar has reliable stats this season: 11.2ppg, 4.5rpg, 1.4apg and 1.8spg.

Darussafaka - Anadolu Efes 79:70 Darussafaka remained perfect in the pre-season action. They topped Anadolu Efes for the 10th straight win. Will Clyburn (201-F-90, college: Iowa St.) and Berk Furkan Aydin scored 15 points each to pace the effort. Darussafaka eked out a 21:20 lead after the opening frame. Trabzonspor adds Green to their roster - 2 days ago

Trabzonspor Medical Park Basketbol (BSL) added to their roster 31-year old American forward Caleb Green (203-104kg-85, college: ORU). He played last season at Galatasaray (BSL). In 18 games he recorded 10.9ppg, 4.8rpg and 2.5apg. Green helped them to make it to the semifinals. He also played 17 games in Eurocup where he averaged 7.8ppg, 3.4rpg and 2.0apg. AEK - Galatasaray 96:95 AEK nipped Galatasaray in the latest pre-season action. Michael Dixon (186-G-90, college: Memphis) scored 34 points to lead the Greek side. AEK grabbed a 28:13 lead at the first break. The Greek team kept Galatasaray at bay throughout the second frame. AEK built a 52:33 halftime advantage.
