27-year old forward Tyrone Nelson (206-F-85) had a very impressive game in the last round for Akhisar Bld and receives a Eurobasket.com TB2L Player of the Week award for round 10.
He had a double-double of 28 points and 10 rebounds, while his team crushed Final Genclik (#15, 3-7) with 18-point margin 88-70. Akhisar Bld maintains the 5th position in Turkish TB2L. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Akhisar Bld will need more victories to improve their 7-3 record. Nelson has many years of experience at Akhisar Bld, through which he has constantly improved. New Mexico State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Nelson is in league's top in points (4th best: 18.9ppg), rebounds (4th best: 9.6rpg) and averages solid 2.4spg and 65.5% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Justin Knox (205-F-89) of Vestel. He is American forward in his first season at Vestel. In the last game Knox recorded impressive 24 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists. Bad luck as Vestel lost that game 83-88 to the higher-ranked Usak (#2, 8-2). This loss caused Vestel to drop to 8th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 5-5 record is not bad and everything may still change. Knox is a newcomer at Vestel and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 18.6ppg (#5). He also registered 8.6 boards per game. Former University of North Carolina star Knox is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market.

Third place about best performers goes to center John Ofoegbu (206-C-84) of Yesilgiresun (#6). Ofoegbu scored 21 points and grabbed fifteen rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Yesilgiresun, leading his team to a 88-81 win against the higher-ranked Darussafaka (#3, 8-2). Yesilgiresun needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 6 victories and 4 lost games. Ofoegbu has a great season in Turkey. After 10 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 17.6ppg (8th best) and rebounds with 9.0rpg (7th best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Erdem Turetken (199-F-79) of Trabzonspor - 19 points, 13 rebounds and 3 assists
5. Alex Gordon (184-G-85) of Yesilgiresun - 27 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists
6. Bill Clark (195-SF-88) of Selcuk Univ. - 15 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists
7. Antabia Waller (188-G-88) of Vestel - 28 points, 3 rebounds and 4 assists
8. Marshall Moses (198-F-89) of Final Genclik - 23 points and 9 rebounds
9. Arthur Johnson (206-F/C-81) of Istanbul B.B. - 17 points and 7 rebounds
10. Cem Coskun (209-C-87) of Balikesir - 16 points and 7 rebounds

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)

The last season Ozcan played also at Yesilgiresun Bld (also in BSL) where in 24 games he recorded just 2.3ppg. TBL will be definitely a better match and he can see more playing time.
