Darussafaka trailed by 18 points after 3 quarters before a 27-15 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 71-77 at the end of the game. They outrebounded Darussafaka 47-32 including a 32-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. 25 personal fouls committed by Darussafaka helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was American forward Eric Buckner (208-90, college: Georgia St., agency: David Lee services) who had a double-double by scoring 12 points and 14 rebounds. The other American import forward Justin Carter (193-87, college: Creighton, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) chipped in 15 points and 9 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was swingman Cihan Amasyali (191-83) who recorded 17 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Usak moved-up to third place, which they share with defeated Darussafaka. Usak is looking forward to face Baskent Genclik (#16) in Ankara in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Darussafaka's supporters also look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Istanbul Istanbulspor.
Leader Maliye Milli delivered the tenth victory. This time they crushed bottom-ranked Izmir BSB (0-12) 97-75. It was a good game for forward Recai Ozturk (198-82) who led his team to a victory with 18 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Hakan Yapar contributed with 10 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Cengiz Aydin Ergen (-88) replied with 14 points and 9 rebounds for Izmir BSB. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Maliye Milli (10-2) have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain first position, which they share with Selcuk Univ. Newly promoted Izmir BSB still closes the standings with 12 games lost. Maliye Milli will play against Gelisim (#13) in Izmir in the next round which should be another easy win for them.
