American Justin Knox (205-F-89) put on an amazing game in the last round for Vestel and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com TB2L Player of the Week award for round 12.
The 23-year old forward had a double-double of 26 points and ten rebounds, while his team beat Pi Koleji (#17, 3-9) 83-70. Vestel is placed at 8th position in Turkish TB2L. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Vestel will need more victories to improve their 7-5 record. Knox turned to be Vestel's top player in his first season with the team. University of North Carolina graduate has very impressive stats this year. Knox is in league's top in points (5th best: 18.8ppg), rebounds (8th best: 8.8rpg) and averages solid 1.3bpg and 68.5% FGP. Worth to mention Knox played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 27-year old American forward Tyrone Nelson (206-F-85) of Akhisar Bld. Nelson impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 26 points and 19 rebounds. Bad luck as Akhisar Bld lost that game 70-79 to the lower-ranked Baskent Genclik (#16, 3-9). This loss caused Akhisar Bld to drop to 7th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 7-5 record is not bad and everything may still change. Nelson is one of the most experienced players at Akhisar Bld and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 19.3ppg (#4). He also registered 10.3 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was American KZell Wesson (201-F-77) of Baskent Genclik (#16). Wesson scored 24 points and grabbed twelve rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Baskent Genclik, leading his team to a 79-70 win against the higher-ranked Akhisar Bld (#7, 7-5). Baskent Genclik can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 3-9 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Too bad for Wesson he does not play for a better team. But maybe if he did, his season stats would not be that high. Wesson has a very solid season. In 6 games in Turkey he scored 16.5ppg. He also has 13.7rpg and FGP: 53.8%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Arthur Johnson (206-F/C-81) of Istanbul B.B. - 20 points, 10 rebounds and 2 assists
5. Pervis Pasco (206-F/C-81) of Balikesir - 16 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists
6. John Ofoegbu (206-C-84) of Yesilgiresun - 18 points and 11 rebounds
7. Gilbert Brown (198-F-87) of Bandirma Kir. - 25 points and 4 rebounds
8. Eric Buckner (208-F-90) of Usak - 12 points and 14 rebounds
9. Marshall Moses (198-F-89) of Final Genclik - 15 points and 13 rebounds
10. Dewayne Reed (185-G-87) of Pertevniyal - 23 points and 5 rebounds

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
