The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Istanbul: Anadolu Efes (#5) and Besiktas (#6). Besiktas was defeated at home 67-74 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Besiktas. The guests trailed by 7 points at the halftime before their 45-31 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Serbian Dusko Savanovic (204-83, agency: Beo Basket) orchestrated the victory by scoring 17 points and 8 rebounds. The former international power forward Semih Erden (211-86) contributed with 14 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. American guard Patrick Christopher (196-88, college: California, agency: 1x1 Sports) answered with 17 points for Besiktas. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Anadolu Efes (9-2) moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams. Defending champion Besiktas keeps the sixth position with five games lost. They share it with TED Kolejliler. Anadolu Efes is looking forward to face Karsiyaka (#3) at home in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Besiktas will play against Olin Edirne and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
Another exciting game was again a derby between two teams from Istanbul: Fenerbahce Ulker (#1) and Galatasaray (#2). Fenerbahce Ulker (10-1) won against visiting Galatasaray (9-2) 74-67.
