There was no lack of interesting games this round. The round ended with defeat of the leader, derby games, favorites losing the games and games ending by tiny margin.

The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Selcuk Universitesi (12-3) in Bursa on Friday night. Visitors were edged by ninth ranked Final Genclik (8-7) 84-82. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Selcuk Universitesi. Selcuk Universitesi was trailing by 7 points at halftime but managed to get 4-point lead after three quarters before a 26-20 charge of Final Genclik, which allowed them to win the game. Strangely Selcuk Universitesi outrebounded Final Genclik 36-23 including 23 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for American forward Marshall Moses (198-89, college: Oklahoma St.) who led his team to a victory scoring 27 points and 8 rebounds. Guard Mustafa Gucyetmez (188-80) helped adding 19 points. The best for the losing side was American Bill Clark (195-88, college: Duquesne) with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists. Final Genclik have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain ninth place with 8-7 record. Selcuk Universitesi at the other side still keeps top position with three games lost. They share it with Usak and Maliye Milli. Final Genclik are looking forward to face Gelisim (#11) in Izmir in the next round. Selcuk Universitesi will play at home against Darussafaka (#4) in Istanbul and is hoping to win this game.
Bottom-ranked Izmir BSB (0-15) is still winless. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 15th consecutive match to seventh ranked Akhisar Bld (9-6) 81-70. It was an exceptional evening for guard Serdar Yavuz (184-82) who led the winners and scored 25 points. Darrius Morrow accounted for 15 points and 15 rebounds. Mustafa Surmen (-88) came up with 20 points and 5 rebounds for Izmir BSB in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Akhisar Bld moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Trabzonspor and Vestel. Izmir BSB lost their fifteenth game in a row. Newly promoted team still closes the standings with 15 games lost. Akhisar Bld will play against Pertevniyal (#12) in Istanbul in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Izmir BSB will play on the road against the league's second-placed Usak (#2) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
The game in Trabzon was also quite interesting. Second ranked Usak (12-3) played at the court of 5th ranked Trabzonspor (9-6). Usak defeated Trabzonspor 73-62 on Saturday. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Trabzonspor. The best player for the winners was Justin Carter who scored 22 points and 5 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Jurica Zuza who recorded a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Usak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Selcuk Univ. and Maliye Milli. Loser Trabzonspor dropped to the sixth place with six games lost. They share the position with Vestel and Akhisar Bld. Usak will meet at home bottom-ranked Izmir BSB (#18) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Trabzonspor will play against Istanbulspor (#16) and hope to secure a win.
A very interesting game took place in Ankara. It ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 17th ranked Pi Koleji (3-12) to fifteenth ranked Baskent Genclik (5-10) 79-76 in the fight for the fifteenth place. It was a good game for Ersan Ozseven who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 20 rebounds. Baskent Genclik's coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Baskent Genclik maintains fifteenth place with 5-10 record. Pi Koleji lost their tenth game in a row. They dropped to the sixteenth position with 12 games lost. Baskent Genclik's next round opponent will be higher ranked Balikesir (#10) on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Pi Koleji will play against Bandirma Kir. (#14) in Balikesir and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
An interesting game took place in Istanbul where 4th placed Darussafaka (11-4) was upset on its own court by eleventh ranked Balikesir (7-8) 83-76 on Sunday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Darussafaka. It was a great evening for Robert Lowery who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Balikesir's coach used a ten-player rotation saving starting five for next games. Balikesir moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Gelisim. Loser Darussafaka keeps the fourth position with four games lost. Balikesir will face Baskent Genclik (#15) in Ankara in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Darussafaka will play on the road against the league's leader Selcuk Universitesi (#1) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.

There were no shocking results in the rest of the games of round 15: Istanbulspor lost to Bandirma Kir. on the opponent's court 57-65. Yesilgiresun managed to outperform Pertevniyal in a home game 86-82. Gelisim recorded a loss to Vestel on the road 75-60. Istanbul B.B. was defeated by Maliye Milli on its own court 74-89.

Darussafaka - Balikesir 76-83

An interesting game took place in Istanbul where 4th placed Darussafaka (11-4) was upset on its own court by eleventh ranked Balikesir (7-8) 83-76 on Sunday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Darussafaka. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 22-11. But Darussafaka won third quarter 24-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Darussafaka was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Balikesir moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Gelisim. Loser Darussafaka keeps the fourth position with four games lost. Balikesir will face Baskent Genclik (#15) in Ankara in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Bandirma Kir. - Istanbulspor 65-57

Rather expected game in Balikesir where 16th ranked Istanbulspor (3-12) was defeated by fourteenth ranked Bandirma Kir. (6-9) 65-57 on Sunday. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 23-12. But Istanbulspor won second period 12-11. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Yesilgiresun - Pertevniyal 86-82

Very predictable result in Giresun where sixth ranked Yesilgiresun (10-5) defeated 11th ranked Pertevniyal (6-9) 86-82 on Saturday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 32-22. But Pertevniyal won third quarter 25-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great evening for American guard Alex Gordon (184-85, college: Vanderbilt) who led his team to a victory scoring 35 points (!!!) and 7 assists. His fellow American import center John Ofoegbu (206-84, college: Idaho St.) helped adding 17 points and 9 rebounds. Vestel - Gelisim 75-60

Not a big story in a game in Manisa where 10th ranked Gelisim (7-8) was defeated by eighth ranked Vestel (9-6) 75-60 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Vestel. Gelisim was better in second period 22-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great evening for American forward Justin Knox (205-89, college: N.Carolina) who led his team to a victory scoring 28 points and 8 rebounds. His fellow American import guard Antabia Waller (188-88, college: Auburn) helped adding 24 points and 5 steals. Knox is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market.
