Ersan
Ozseven
Forward Ersan Ozseven (205-F-83) had a very impressive game in the last round for Baskent Genclik, receiving a Eurobasket.com TB2L Player of the Week award for round 15.
The 29-year old player had a double-double of 18 points and 20 rebounds, while his team edged out Pi Koleji (#17, 3-12) 79-76. The game rather meaningless between the teams, which do not have any influence on the top of the standings. Baskent Genclik maintains the 15th position in Turkish TB2L. Baskent Genclik is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 5-10 record. In the team's last game Ozseven had a remarkable 63.6% from 2-point range. It was one of impressive evenings for him as usually he does not deliver so high stats. Ersan Ozseven averages this season 5.5ppg.

The second best player in last round's games was 23-year old American Justin Knox (205-F-89) of Vestel. Knox had a very good evening with 28 points and 8 rebounds. Of course he lead Vestel to another comfortable win 75-60 over the lower-ranked Gelisim (#11, 7-8) being unquestionably team leader. Vestel's 8th position in the standings has not changed. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 9-6 record is not bad and everything may still change. Knox is a newcomer at Vestel, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 18.3ppg (#7). He also registered 8.6 boards per game. Former University of North Carolina star Knox is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market.

Third on the list of top players last round was American guard Alex Gordon (184-G-85) of Yesilgiresun (#5). Gordon got into 30-points club by scoring 35 points in the last round. He went also for seven assists. He was a key player of Yesilgiresun, leading his team to a 86-82 win against the lower-ranked Pertevniyal (#12, 6-9). Yesilgiresun needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 10 victories and 5 lost games. Gordon has a great season in Turkey. After 15 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 25.0ppg (best scorer) and assists with 6.3apg (best passer).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Burak Can Yildizli (202-PF-94) of Pertevniyal - 17 points, 11 rebounds and 3 assists
5. Marshall Moses (198-F-89) of Final Genclik - 27 points and 8 rebounds
6. Jurica Zuza (207-C-78) of Trabzonspor - 21 points and 11 rebounds
7. Bill Clark (195-SF-88) of Selcuk Univ. - 24 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists
8. Berkay Sahillioglu (183-G-88) of Pi Koleji - 20 points, 4 rebounds and 10 assists
9. Darrius Morrow (203-F-90) of Akhisar Bld - 15 points and 15 rebounds
10. KZell Wesson (201-F-77) of Baskent Genclik - 16 points and 12 rebounds

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)

TBL Round 3 of Semi-Finals. Tofas advance into Finals - May 29, 2016

Sakarya BSB - Tofas 59-74 Tofas knocked down Sakarya BSB to sweep the semifinal series. It looked good early as Sakarya BSB took a 1-point small lead at the end of first quarter.
