TBL is at the halfway of the Regular Season and there are still another 15 rounds left. The round 15 was rather boring as all games ended with very predictable results.

The game between second ranked Fenerbahce Ulker (13-2) and 14th ranked Olin Edirne (3-12) in Istanbul on Sunday ended with biggest points difference. Fenerbahce Ulker outscored guests from Edirne 98-61. The game was mostly controlled by Fenerbahce Ulker. Olin Edirne managed to win fourth quarter 20-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Fenerbahce Ulker dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Olin Edirne's 24. 26 personal fouls committed by Olin Edirne helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for international Emir Preldzic (205-87, agency: Beo Basket) who led his team to a victory with 7 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Australian center David Andersen (212-80) contributed with 17 points for the winners. Forward Berkay Candan (204-93) answered with 11 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for Olin Edirne. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Fenerbahce Ulker keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Anadolu Efes and Banvit BK. Olin Edirne lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the fourteenth place with 12 games lost. They share the position with Antalya. Fenerbahce Ulker is looking forward to face Erdemir (#8) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Olin Edirne will play against Gaziantep (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

There were no big surprises in other games of round 15: Anadolu Efes beat Gaziantep on the road 92-82. Besiktas won against Mersin on its own court 83-75. Aliaga unfortunately lost to Banvit BK in Balikesir 79-94. Tofas recorded a loss to Erdemir at home 89-93. TED Kolejliler was crushed by Karsiyaka on the opponent's court 66-87. Bottom-ranked Hacettepe was beaten by Antalya in a home game 78-85. Galatasaray won against Turk Telekom on the road 76-70.
The most impressive performance of 15th round was 26 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists by Lionel Chalmers of Aliaga.


Gaziantep - Anadolu Efes 82-92

No shocking result in a game when third ranked Anadolu Efes (13-2) beat on the road 12th ranked Gaziantep (4-11) 92-82 on Monday. Anadolu Efes looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a good game for American point guard Jordan Farmar (188-86, college: UCLA) who led his team to a victory with 13 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists. Slovenian Sasha Vujacic (201-84) contributed with 12 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Anadolu Efes' coach Oktay Mahmudi used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American point guard Andre Collins (183-82, college: Loyola, MD) answered with 20 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists and the other American import power forward Joey Dorsey (206-83, college: Memphis, agency: FCM) added 17 points and 13 rebounds in the effort for Gaziantep. Five Anadolu Efes and four Gaziantep players scored in double figures. Anadolu Efes have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Fener.Ulker and Banvit BK. Newly promoted Gaziantep keeps the twelfth place with 11 games lost. They share the position with Turk Telekom. Anadolu Efes is looking forward to face Banvit BK (#3) in Balikesir in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Gaziantep will play at home against Olin Edirne (#14) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Hacettepe's coach Alp Bayramoglu rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Antalya (3-12) moved-up to fourteenth place, which they share with Olin Edirne. Hacettepe at the other side stay at the bottom position with 13 games lost. Antalya is looking forward to face higher ranked Galatasaray (#5) in Istanbul in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Hacettepe will play at home against Aliaga (#9) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.

No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Galatasaray (12-3) beat 13th ranked Turk Telekom (4-11) in Ankara 76-70 on Saturday. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 20-10. But Turk Telekom won second period 21-19. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Turk Telekom 46-29 including 31 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for Senegalese center Boniface Ndong (213-77) who led his team to a victory with 18 points and 9 rebounds. American guard David Hawkins (194-82, college: Temple) contributed with 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four Galatasaray players scored in double figures. Slovenian power forward Miha Zupan (205-82) answered with 18 points and 5 rebounds and American point guard Dee Brown (185-84, college: Illinois, agency: Priority Sports) added 11 points and 9 assists in the effort for Turk Telekom. Galatasaray moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Karsiyaka. Turk Telekom at the other side dropped to the twelfth position with 11 games lost. They share it with Gaziantep. Galatasaray is looking forward to face Antalya (#15) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Turk Telekom will play against Besiktas in Istanbul and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
