Tarsus Bld - UNI Gyor 81:70

Tarsus tastes a rare success in EuroLeague and celebrated only their second win. The Turkish team overcame UNI Gyor 81:70 for 2-8 record.
The game was mostly controlled by Tarsus Bld. UNI Gyor managed to win fourth quarter 22-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The winners were led by Delisha Milton-Jones (186-PF-74, agency: Josep and Nicolas, college: Florida) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds and Melisa Can (188-F-84, college: Rutgers) supported her with 24 points and 12 rebounds. Even a double-double of 26 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists by Natalie Hurst (164-PG-83) did not help to save the game for UNI Gyor. Anna Lakloth (181-G-88) added 11 points and 5 rebounds.
Defending Hungarian champion UNI Gyor dropped to the fifth position with six games lost. Tarsus Bld will meet at home bottom-ranked IMOS Brno in the next round. UNI Gyor will play against Bourges and hope to secure a win.

UNI Gyor: Natalie Hurst 26+11rebs, Rita Rasheed (182-F-89, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) 12, Anna Lakloth 11, Agnes Dobos (190-C-96) 8

Galatasaray looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Moriah Jefferson (170-94, college: Connecticut) who helped to win the game...   [read more]
