Kayseri and Dynamo Kursk came up with a thrilling clash in Russia tonight to decide on the second semifinalists of EuroCup. Kayseri needed to protect their 15-point victory in Turkey to advance. Dynamo gained a 15-point advantage at the end of regulation to level things up on aggregate. The teams headed into overtime where Kayseri celebrated a two-point victory and advanced into the next round. Zoi Dimitrakou (188-F-87, agency: Josep and Nicolas) knocked down 21 points and grabbed 7 rebounds to lead the winners. Kayseri looked well in control of their fate in the opening quarter. Having entered the game with a 15-point buffer from the first leg the Turkish team quickly stretched it to as many as 24 following a 23:14 rally. But Dynamo refused to surrender. The Kursk outfit went on a 21:8 run in the second quarter to surge ahead. Dynamo ignited a 22:7 rally in the third quarter to enjoy a 6-point lead on aggregate before the fourth term. Kayseri needed some late heroics from Zoi Dimitrakou to stay in the fight. She notched five points in a row to cap the regulation sending the game into overtime. LaToya Sanders (191-PF-86, college: N.Carolina) and Zoi Dimitrakou teamed up for six points in the extra period to seal the victory for Kayseri. Evanthia Maltsi (180-F-78, agency: Josep and Nicolas) and LaToya Sanders had 12 points each for the winners. Michelle Snow (196-C-80, agency: LBM Management, college: Tennessee) answered with 19 points and 15 rebounds for Dynamo Kursk. Ekaterina Lisina (198-C-87) netted 16 points in defeat.

She started it with Soller Joventud Mariana averaging 13.5 points and 8.4 rebounds for 11 games in LFB. In January, the player moved to Istanbul Universitesi SK. With them she had 11.9 ppg, 10.8 rpg and 1 bpg for 12 games. It was the first season in Europe for Carolyn Swords, who graduated at the Boston College something more than a year ago. She had 17.5 ppg, 9.5 rpg and 1.5 rpg for her school in 2010/11. After that, Swords got a deal with Chicago Sky averaging 2.5 points and 1.8 rebounds for 28 WNBA games. In 2012-2013 for Ceyhan Belediyespor (Turkey-TKBL, starting five) she became the 5th top-scorer in the League with 16.3ppg, 8.1rpg, FGP-1 (67.8%), FT: 71.4%.

Marginean also played 10 games in Eurocup where she averaged remarkable 16.9ppg, 4.8rpg and 1.0spg. The previous (10-11) season she played at Panathinaikos (A1) in Greek league. In 26 games she was second best scorer with great 17.0ppg and had 7.3rpg, 1.5apg and 2.2spg that season. She contributed to her team making it to the semifinals. Great season indeed as she was selected Eurobasket.com All-Greek League Bosman Player of the Year and voted to 1st Team and voted to All-Bosmans Team. Marginean attended Drexel University until 2010 and it will be her third season in pro basketball. She was voted CAA Player of the Year back in 2009 at her college time.
