Montepaschi Siena registered the fifth straight win in EuroLeague Top 16. They held off Besiktas at home court to stay undefeated in Group F. Viktor Sanikidze (203-SF-86) stepped up with 14 points to pace the hosts.
Siena opened the game with a 9:3 rally but Besiktas hung on as they cut the deficit on several occasions in the first quarter. Siena pulled away late in the quarter to post a 22:13 lead. The margin grew at 14-point mark in the second quarter. Montepaschi ensured a 37:26 halftime advantage. However Besiktas opened the second half on an 11:0 run to tie things up. The Turkish team held their opponents at 6 points in the third term to take a 45:43 lead into the fourth frame. But Daniel Hacket came up with five points during a 7:0 run from the hosts as they recorded a 55:49 advantage midway through the fourth frame. Siena kept the visitors at safe distance throughout the final minutes and secured another victory at the end. Bobby Brown (188-PG-84, college: CS Fullerton) delivered 13 points, while Matt Janning (193-G-88, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management, college: Northeastern) added 10 points for the winning team. Curtis Jerrells (185-G-87, college: Baylor) answered with 16 points for Besiktas. Gasper Vidmar (211-C/F-87) chipped in 14 points and 6 boards in the loss.

There was no lack of interesting games this round. The round ended with derby games and favorites losing the games. The game between second ranked Fenerbahce (7-2) and thirteenth ranked Tofas (3-6) was the most important one in the last round on Sunday night. 30-year old power forward Dejan Borovnjak (207-F/C-86, agency: BeoBasket) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Bursaspor and receives a Eurobasket.com TBL Player of the Week award for round 13. He had a double-double of 31 points and 10 rebounds, while his team crushed Turk Telekom (#9, 7-6) with 19-point margin 93-74. Bursaspor maintains the 5th position in Turkish TBL. Bottom-ranked Muglaorman managed to get a second victory on Saturday night. This time newly promoted Muglaorman won against fourteenth-ranked Yalova Bld 85-72. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Soykan Yikilmaz (185-92) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 assists.
