Fenerbahce clinched the Turkish Cup title. They held off Galatasaray in the Final tonight. David Andersen (212-C-80) scored 21 points and grabbed 5 boards to pace the winners. He was named the MVP after the game.
It was never an easy affair for Fenerbahce. They surged ahead in the opening quarter and posted a 21:15 lead after ten minutes. But Galatasaray responded equally in the second quarter. They went on a 17:8 rally to secure a 32:29 halftime lead. The teams stayed close throughout the low-scoring third quarter. Galatasaray entered the fourth period up by three points 44:41. Fenerbahce caught up with their opponents in the fourth frame 48:48. Bojan Bogdanovic and Preledzic made it 61:57 for Fenerbahce late in regulation. Galatasaray could not convert and Fenerbahce sealed the winning outcome at the end. Oguz Savas (212-C-87) provided 14 points, while Bo McCalebb (178-PG-85, college: New Orleans) added 10 points for the winning side. Boniface Ndong (213-C-77) answered with 12 points and 6 boards for Galatasaray. Ersin Dagli (203-F/C-81, agency: Interperformances, college: Alabama) had 10 points in the loss.

Indiana Pacers signed training camp deal with 28-year old point guard Julyan Stone (198-91kg-88, college: UTEP). He played last season at Gaziantep Basketbol in Turkish BSL league. In 25 games he had 4.4ppg, 4.7rpg and 1.8apg. Stone also played 12 games in FIBA Europe Cup where he recorded 7.0ppg, 6.6rpg and 2.6apg. He also spent pre-season at the Thunder that year. Bandirma Kirmizi (TBL) inked 22-year old Nigerian center Tonye Jekiri (213-111kg-94). He just graduated from University of Miami, Florida (NCAA). Jekiri has played there for the last four years. In 35 games he recorded 7.6ppg, 8.6rpg and 1.0bpg last season. Jekiri helped them to end the regular season as a second best team in Atlantic Coast Conference. Serkan Ozver agreed terms with Pertevniyal - 1 day ago

Pertevniyal Genclik Istanbul (TBL) inked 26-year old forward Serkan Ozver (206-90) from Socar Petkim. In 10 TBL games he recorded 5.1ppg and 4.3rpg last season. The previous (14-15) season Ozver played at Final Genclik (TB2L) where in 33 games he averaged 8.1ppg and 6.2rpg. His team won Turkish President Cup in 2013.
