An interesting game for Usak (15-5) which hosted in Usak one of their biggest challengers Maliye Milli (14-6). Second ranked Usak managed to get a 10-point victory 106-96. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The hosts trailed by 4 points at the halftime before their 58-44 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. 28 personal fouls committed by Maliye Milli helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American forward Justin Carter (193-87, college: Creighton, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) orchestrated the victory by scoring 32 points and 8 assists. Forward Gurol Karamahmut (199-80) contributed with 17 points for the winners. American guard Derek Williams (185-85, college: SMU, agency: Pro One Sports) replied with 30 points and 7 assists for Maliye Milli. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Usak keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Selcuk Univ. Maliye Milli at the other side keeps the third place with six games lost. They share the position with Yesilgiresun. Usak is looking forward to face Istanbulspor (#17) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Maliye Milli will play against Darussafaka (#7) in Istanbul and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
TB2L top team - Selcuk Universitesi (15-5) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed eighteenth ranked Izmir BSB (1-19) 97-69. Worth to mention a quality performance of Ihsan Yalcin Azizmahmutogullari (-82) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 9 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) and Bill Clark who added 18 points and 6 assists during the contest. Forward Gurur Baybora (-90) responded with 21 points and 7 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Selcuk Universitesi maintains first position with 15-5 record, which they share with Usak. Izmir BSB lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay dead last with 19 lost games. Selcuk Universitesi will play against Pertevniyal (#15) in Istanbul in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Izmir BSB's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Izmir to the arena Gelisim.
Worth to mention about the upset in a game between Vestel (12-8) and Baskent Genclik (9-11), which took place in Ankara. Higher ranked Vestel lost to fourteenth ranked Baskent Genclik in a road game 69-79 on Sunday. The winners were led by Aubrey Reese who scored that evening 34 points (!!!) and 5 assists. Even a double-double of 16 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists by Kerem Ozkan did not help to save the game for Vestel. Vestel's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Baskent Genclik moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Final Genclik. Loser Vestel keeps the sixth position with eight games lost. They share it with Darussafaka. Baskent Genclik will meet Final Genclik (#12) in the next round. Vestel will play against Bandirma Kir. (#11) in Balikesir and hope to secure a win.
The game between seventh ranked Darussafaka (12-8) and 11th ranked Final Genclik (9-11) in Istanbul ended with biggest points difference. Darussafaka outscored guests from Bursa 99-70. The best player for the winners was Aleksandar Petrovic who had a double-double by scoring 25 points and 11 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Darussafaka moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Vestel. Final Genclik at the other side dropped to the twelfth position with 11 games lost. Darussafaka's next round opponent will be higher ranked Maliye Milli (#3) in Ankara and it may be quite challenging game. Final Genclik will play at home against Baskent Genclik (#13) in Ankara and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

There were no big surprises in other games of round 20: Istanbul B.B. was beaten by Bandirma Kir. on the road 76-61. Yesilgiresun destroyed Pi Koleji on its own court 85-62.
