The fans could enjoy quite many interesting games in the last round. The round ended with derby games and favorites losing the games.

The game had a very big importance for fourth-ranked Maliye Milli as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Maliye Milli defeated 12th ranked Baskent Genclik in Ankara 81-72. The hosts trailed by 7 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 10-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 81-72. 24 personal fouls committed by Baskent Genclik helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Forward Recai Ozturk (198-82) orchestrated the victory by scoring 12 points and 8 rebounds. Guard Sertay Gursu (195-87, agency: EM-PA) contributed with 12 points for the winners. American forward KZell Wesson (201-77, college: La Salle) answered with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for Baskent Genclik. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Maliye Milli have a solid series of three victories in a row. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Yesilgiresun. Baskent Genclik at the other side keeps the twelfth place with 13 games lost. Baskent Genclik will play next round against Bandirma Kir. trying to get back on the winning streak. Maliye Milli will try to continue on its current victory against sixteenth ranked Pi Koleji. It will be extra interesting game as Pi Koleji is their local rival from Ankara.
Important game to mention about took place in Balikesir. Ninth ranked Balikesir (13-10) saved a 3-point derby victory at home edging second-ranked Usak (16-7) 84-81 on Saturday evening. It was a great evening for American point guard Robert Lowery (188-87, college: Dayton) who led his team to a victory scoring 21 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Cem Coskun helped adding 19 points and 8 rebounds. American forward Justin Carter (193-87, college: Creighton, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) responded with 28 points and 9 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Balikesir moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Vestel. Usak at the other side dropped to the third position with seven games lost. They share it with Selcuk Univ.. Balikesir will play against Istanbulspor (#17) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Usak will play against Selcuk Universitesi (#3) in Konya and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
A very close game took place in Konya between Akhisar Bld and Selcuk Universitesi. Eighth ranked Akhisar Bld (14-9) got a very close victory on the road over 3rd placed Selcuk Universitesi (16-7). Akhisar Bld managed to escape with a 3-point win 68-65 on Saturday evening. It was an exceptional evening for Emre Ozpulat who led the winners and scored 20 points and 8 rebounds. Bill Clark came up with 15 points and 8 rebounds for Selcuk Universitesi in the defeat. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Akhisar Bld moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Trabzonspor and Darussafaka. Loser Selcuk Universitesi keeps the third position with seven games lost. They share it with Usak. Akhisar Bld will meet at home Gelisim (#10) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Selcuk Universitesi will play against Usak (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

The game between sixteenth ranked Pi Koleji (8-15) and 17th ranked Istanbulspor (3-20) in Ankara on Friday ended with biggest points difference. Pi Koleji outscored guests from Istanbul 87-55. Kaspars Kambala orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 14 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Pi Koleji have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain sixteenth place with 8-15 record. Istanbulspor lost fourteenth consecutive game. They keep the seventeenth position with 20 games lost. Pi Koleji's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Ankara Maliye Milli.

There were no big surprises in other games of round 23: Bandirma Kir. was beaten by Darussafaka on the road 69-56. Istanbul B.B. lost to Pertevniyal on its own court 68-80. Trabzonspor managed to outperform Final Genclik in a road game 79-74. Gelisim recorded a loss to Yesilgiresun at home 73-78.
The most impressive performance of 23th round was 26 points and 10 assists by Alex Gordon of Yesilgiresun.


Darussafaka - Bandirma Kir. 69-56

No shocking result in a game when seventh ranked Darussafaka (14-9) beat 11th ranked Bandirma Kir. (11-12) in Istanbul 69-56 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 6 points after three quarters before their 26-7 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Darussafaka dominated on the defensive end, holding Bandirma Kir. to just 7 points in fourth quarter. American guard Marcus Hall (185-85, college: Colorado) orchestrated the victory by scoring 23 points and 6 assists. Serbian center Aleksandar Petrovic (204-87) contributed with 15 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Forward Tufan Onen (202-89) answered with 16 points and 8 rebounds and forward Cenk Sekeroglu (203-91) added 7 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Bandirma Kir.Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Darussafaka moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Trabzonspor and Akhisar Bld. Loser Bandirma Kir. keeps the eleventh position with 12 games lost. The guests were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. Izmir BSB outrebounded Vestel 39-27 including 25 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was Tamer Gurpinar (-92) who scored 19 points and 9 rebounds. Cem Bozok (-91) chipped in 14 points and 4 assists. Four Izmir BSB players scored in double figures. Forward Kerem Ozkan (201-88, agency: EM-PA) produced 22 points and 8 rebounds and American forward Justin Knox (205-89, college: N.Carolina) added 14 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the hosts.
