Nykesha Sales (183-F/G-76, college: Connecticut) stepped up for the hosts with 20 points and 11 rebounds. They made a huge step forward to the next round, despite there is one more game to be played in Qualifying Stage. In the loosing squad, Candice Wiggins (180-G-87, college: Stanford) delivered 16 pts. Polymnia Saregkou (185-G-72) stopped on 15. Opening ten minutes were totally leveled. Both teams stopped on 21 pts. In the next period, Besiktas players took control on Athinaikos and they managed to grab 4-point lead until the half time. It was 44-39. Nothing has changed after that as Besiktas still was slightly better team. Nykesha Sales and her teammates reached double-digit lead (58-47) at the midway of third period and it was clear they are on the right track to victory. Athinaikos managed to tie the score few times, but never to take the lead in the finish. Dacic, Nykesha Sales and Shavonte Zellous were almost unmistakable from the free throw line when it was the most important for their team. That is how Besiktas got last five, and at the same time the crucial points in this game.

Fenerbahce rolled over Szeged in Hungary in the last game of the Qualifying Round 4. The Turkish side tied their record at 2-2 after 70:66 victory.

Fenerbahce rolled over Szeged in Hungary in the last game of the Qualifying Round 4. The Turkish side tied their record at 2-2 after 70:66 victory. Tuncluer closed the half as the Turkish team enjoyed 40:27 advantage. The latter held 10-point advantage in the third period and even took 61:48 at the end of it. Szeged however was too far to give up and was too good in the end of the game. Trailing 70:60 with 3.30 in the game, the Hungarian side kept the guests scoreless and cut it to 70:66 as Vaida Sipaviciute (193-C-85, agency: LBM Management, college: Syracuse) was the last to score in the game. Nicole Powell top-scored for the winners with 16 points, while Nevriye Yilmaz (195-C-80) and Penelope Taylor (185-F-81) netted 13 each. Vaida Sipaviciute ended up with 21 points in defeat, while Olena Zherzherunova (191-F-78, agency: LBM Management) posted 17. In another games of the group storming start propelled Spartak Moscow Region to the third straight win in the Euroleague season. Spartak ensured a comfortable home success against Tarbes 81:56. Frisco Sika grabbed 3-1 in Group D with an 83:72 home win over Lotos Gdynia. Trailing 18-20 after the opening quarter the hosts won the rest of the periods.

Deanna Nolan (180-G/F-79, college: Georgia) and Cappie Pondexter opened the second frame with five straight points as UMMC enjoyed a 10-point advantage. Wauters, Maria Stepanova and Deanna Nolan ensured a 16-point lead for the home team late in the half. Sophia Young (186-F-83, college: Baylor) capped it with 4 points in a row to drag Galatasaray within 12. Sophia Young, Yelena Leuchanka (196-C-83, college: W.Virginia) and Vecerova narrowed the deficit to only 8 points early in the third stanza. But then Bibrzycka and Cappie Pondexter stepped up with back-to-back triples to restore a 13-point advantage for UMMC. The hosts entered the final stanza ahead by 12 points 51:39. Yelena Leuchanka fired 8 points in the first four minutes of the final frame to keep the intrigue burning. But Deanna Nolan, Cappie Pondexter and Jones sealed the winning outcome for the home team at the end. Cappie Pondexter delivered 15 points for UMMC. Deanna Nolan added 13 points in the victory. Sophia Young and Yelena Leuchanka had 14 points each for Galatasaray. Vecerova had 9 points in the losing effort.
