There was no lack of interesting games this round. The round ended with defeat of the leader, favorites losing the games and games ending by tiny margin.

The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Sakarya BSB (19-4) in Istanbul on Friday night. Visitors were edged by fifth ranked Acibadem (16-7) 71-70. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Sakarya BSB. 25 personal fouls committed by Sakarya BSB helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a great evening for American guard Bracey Wright (191-84, college: Indiana) who led his team to a victory scoring 23 points and 7 rebounds. His fellow American import forward Jason Maxiell (201-83, college: Cincinnati) helped adding 12 points and 6 rebounds. Acibadem's coach Serhan Aydanarig used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. American CJ Harris (191-91, college: Wake Forest, agency: Pensack Sports) responded with 18 points and 4 assists. Acibadem have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain fifth place with 16-7 record, which they share with Bursaspor. Sakarya BSB at the other side still keeps top position with four games lost. They share it with Eskisehir Basket. Acibadem is looking forward to face Akhisar Bld (#11) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Sakarya BSB will play against Muglaorman (#18) and is hoping to win this game.
Bottom-ranked Muglaorman managed to get a third victory, breaking the series of nine consecutive losses. This time newly promoted Muglaorman edged sixteenth-ranked Final Genclik 79-77. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Ricky Harris (187-87, college: Massachusetts) who led the winners and scored 17 points and 7 assists. Marvin Jefferson accounted for 14 points and 9 rebounds. Forward Cihad Sahin (203-83) came up with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds for Final Genclik in the defeat. Newly promoted Muglaorman maintains eighteenth place with 3-20 record. Final Genclik lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixteenth position with 17 games lost. Muglaorman will play against league's leader Sakarya BSB in Sakaraya in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Final Genclik will play at home against Gelisim (#15) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
The game in Samsun was also quite interesting. Fourth ranked Afyon Bld (17-7) played at the court of 8th ranked Samsun (13-9). Afyon Bld defeated Samsun 81-71 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was Quincy Douby who scored 27 points. Afyon Bld's coach Mehmet Kabaran allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Mikael Hopkins produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds for the hosts. Afyon Bld maintains fourth place with 17-7 record. Newly promoted Samsun keeps the eighth position with nine games lost. Afyon Bld will meet at home Bandirma Kir. (#10) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Samsun will play against Istanbulspor and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
A very interesting game took place in Ankara. It ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 10th ranked Bandirma Kir. (11-12) to ninth ranked Turk Telekom (12-11) 81-80 in the game for the ninth place. Darryl Monroe saved the victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists. Turk Telekom maintains ninth place with 12-11 record. Bandirma Kir. at the other side keeps the tenth position with 12 games lost. Turk Telekom's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Eskisehir Basket in Edirne and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Bandirma Kir. will play on the road against Afyon Bld (#4) in Afyonkarahisar and hope to win that game.
Seventeenth-ranked Mamak DSI (4-19) gave a tough game to fourteenth ranked Pertevniyal (8-15) in Istanbul on Saturday. Pertevniyal managed to secure only one-point victory 83-82. However their fans expected easier game. It was a great evening for Ege Arar who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 17 rebounds. Pertevniyal's coach Andac Yapicier used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Pertevniyal moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Yalova Bld. Mamak DSI lost thirteenth consecutive game. They keep the seventeenth position with 19 games lost. Pertevniyal will face higher ranked Socar Petkim (#3) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Mamak DSI will play against Bursaspor (#6) and hope to win that game.
