Fourteenth-ranked Usak Sportlif (5-14) made lots of trouble for second ranked Anadolu Efes (17-2) on Monday. The visitors from Istanbul managed to secure only two-point victory 80-78. However their fans expected much easier game. Anadolu Efes looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. American forward Tyler Honeycutt (203-90, college: UCLA) fired a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. His fellow American import center Alex Kirk (211-91, college: N.Mexico, agency: Pensack Sports) chipped in 15 points and 5 rebounds. Greek-American center Zach Auguste (208-93, college: Notre Dame, agency: Pensack Sports) produced a double-double by scoring 22 points and 19 rebounds for lost side. Anadolu Efes have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Fenerbahce. Usak Sportlif lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fourteenth place with 14 games lost. Anadolu Efes is looking forward to face Tofas (#9) in Bursa in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Usak Sportlif will play at home against Istanbul BBSK (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Leader Fenerbahce delivered the seventeenth victory. This time they beat 7th ranked Pinar Karsiyaka (10-9) 85-73.
