The fans could enjoy quite many interesting games in the last round. The round ended with favorites losing the games and games ending by tiny margin.

The most exciting game of round 25 in the TBL took place in Izmir. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of much higher ranked Sakarya BSB (20-6) to thirteenth ranked Gelisim (10-16) 84-82 on Tuesday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the guest team. Gelisim forced 21 Sakarya BSB turnovers. It was a great shooting night for Gelisim especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. 27 personal fouls committed by Sakarya BSB helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Adonte Parker (186-89, college: Dayton) who helped to win the game recording 27 points. Bosnian-Slovenian center Hasan Rizvic (212-84) contributed with 17 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. The former international Kerem Gonlum (208-77) answered with 17 points and 8 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for Sakarya BSB. Sakarya BSB's coach Burak Biyiktay rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Gelisim have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to twelfth place. Sakarya BSB at the other side keeps the second position with six games lost. Gelisim are looking forward to face higher ranked Akhisar Bld (#11) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Sakarya BSB will play against Samsun (#8) and is hoping to win this game.

Bursaspor managed to escape with a 2-point win 81-79 on Wednesday evening. It ended at the same time the 13-game winning streak of Socar Petkim. Dejan Borovnjak nailed a double-double by scoring 24 points and 14 rebounds for the winning side. Kenan Bajramovic came up with 22 points and 9 rebounds for Socar Petkim in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Bursaspor have a solid series of three victories in a row. Newly promoted Bursaspor maintains fourth place with 18-7 record. Loser Socar Petkim keeps the third position with six games lost. Bursaspor will meet Duzce Belediye (#14) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Socar Petkim will play against Acibadem (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Bottom-ranked Muglaorman managed to get a fourth victory. This time newly promoted Muglaorman won against eleventh-ranked Akhisar Bld 86-82. Marvin Jefferson fired 20 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Akhisar Bld's coach Serhat Yapici let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Muglaorman (4-21) moved-up to seventeenth place, which they share with Mamak DSI. Akhisar Bld at the other side keeps the eleventh position with 15 games lost. Muglaorman's next round opponent will be Mamak DSI (#17) in Ankara.
TBL top team - Eskisehir Basket (21-4) managed to deliver another win on Wednesday. This time they beat twelfth ranked Yalova Bld (9-16) 87-78. It was a very good performance for Sean Marshall who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds. Eskisehir Basket have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place with 21-4 record. Newly promoted Yalova Bld dropped to the thirteenth position with 16 games lost. Eskisehir Basket will face Pertevniyal (#15) in Istanbul in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Yalova Bld will play at home against Turk Telekom and hope to win that game.

Other games in round 25 were not that significant. Afyon was beaten by Turk Telekom on the road 86-80. Pertevniyal lost to Duzce Bld. on its own court 69-80. Mamak DSI was outscored by Acibadem in Istanbul 69-95. Bandirma Kir. recorded a loss to Istanbulspor at home 67-69. Final Genclik was crushed by Samsun on the opponent's court 104-66.

Yalova Bld - Eskisehir Basket 78-87

TBL top team - Eskisehir Basket (21-4) managed to deliver another win on Wednesday. This time they beat twelfth ranked Yalova Bld (9-16) 87-78. It was a very good performance for American swingman Sean Marshall (198-85, college: Boston Coll.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds. His fellow American import power forward Josh Duncan (203-86) contributed with 16 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Five Eskisehir Basket players scored in double figures. American guard Aubrey Coleman (193-87, college: Houston, agency: HMS) answered with 28 points and 7 rebounds and Ahmet Tunali (203-92) added 16 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Yalova Bld. Eskisehir Basket have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place with 21-4 record. Newly promoted Yalova Bld dropped to the thirteenth position with 16 games lost. Eskisehir Basket will face Pertevniyal (#15) in Istanbul in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Yalova Bld will play at home against Turk Telekom and hope to win that game.

There was a surprise result when ninth ranked Turk Telekom (13-12) beat higher ranked Afyon Bld (17-9) in Ankara 86-80 on Wednesday. Turk Telekom forced 19 Afyon Bld turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Afyon Bld was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Quite impressive performance for the former international swingman Serhat Cetin (197-86) who helped to win the game recording 23 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. American power forward Darryl Monroe (201-86, college: George Mason, agency: BeoBasket) contributed with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Forward Hadi Ozdemir (203-83) answered with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists and American guard Quincy Douby (190-84, college: Rutgers) added 21 points in the effort for Afyon Bld. Five Turk Telekom and four Afyon Bld players scored in double figures. Afyon Bld's coach gave the chance to play for eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Turk Telekom maintains ninth place with 13-12 record. Loser Afyon Bld dropped to the sixth position with nine games lost. Turk Telekom will face Yalova Bld (#13) on the road in the next round.

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 14th ranked Pertevniyal (8-17) lost to fifteenth ranked Duzce Belediye (8-17) in Istanbul 69-80 on Wednesday. Quite impressive performance for Mehmet Gorkem (-77) who helped to win the game recording 25 points. American center LaRon Dendy (205-88, college: Middle Tenn.St., agency: David Lee Services) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Four Duzce Belediye players scored in double figures. Forward Nedim Yucel (203-79) answered with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 15 rebounds and guard Ogulcan Baykan (196-96) added 12 points in the effort for Pertevniyal. Pertevniyal's coach Andac Yapicier gave the chance to play for eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Acibadem dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Mamak DSI's 38. They outrebounded Mamak DSI 40-27 including 27 on the defensive glass. Acibadem looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Quite impressive performance for American power forward Sharrod Ford (206-82, college: Clemson) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 13 points and 13 rebounds. The former international center Mutlu Demir (210-87) contributed with 16 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Four Acibadem players scored in double figures. Acibadem's coach Serhan Aydanarig felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Bottom-ranked Muglaorman managed to get a fourth victory. This time newly promoted Muglaorman won against eleventh-ranked Akhisar Bld 86-82. Muglaorman players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. American center Marvin Jefferson (206-86, college: Idaho) fired 20 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. His fellow American import guard Ricky Harris (187-87, college: Massachusetts) chipped in 17 points and 5 assists. Forward Cenk Sekeroglu (203-91) produced 20 points and 6 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) and American forward Tyler Smith (200-86, college: Tennessee) added 18 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. Five Muglaorman and four Akhisar Bld players scored in double figures. Akhisar Bld's coach Serhat Yapici let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Muglaorman (4-21) moved-up to seventeenth place, which they share with Mamak DSI. Akhisar Bld at the other side keeps the eleventh position with 15 games lost. Muglaorman's next round opponent will be Mamak DSI (#17) in Ankara.

Important game to mention about took place in Izmir. Thirteenth ranked Gelisim (10-16) saved a 2-point victory at home edging much higher ranked Sakarya BSB (20-6) 84-82 on Tuesday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the guest team. Gelisim forced 21 Sakarya BSB turnovers. It was a great shooting night for Gelisim especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. Sakarya BSB was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. American point guard Adonte Parker (186-89, college: Dayton) stepped up and scored 27 points for the winners and Bosnian-Slovenian center Hasan Rizvic (212-84) chipped in 17 points and 9 rebounds. At the losing side the former international Kerem Gonlum (208-77) responded with 17 points and 8 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and center Hakan Yapar (202-84) scored 15 points and 7 rebounds. Five Sakarya BSB players scored in double figures. Sakarya BSB's coach Burak Biyiktay tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Gelisim have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to twelfth place. Sakarya BSB at the other side keeps the second position with six games lost. Gelisim will play against higher ranked Akhisar Bld (#11) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Sakarya BSB will play against Samsun (#8) and hopes to get back on the winning track.

Point guard Baris Erlim (182-90) contributed with 18 points for the winners. Brown is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Istanbulspor players scored in double figures. Talat-Alp Altunbey (204-94) answered with 16 points and 7 rebounds and Sehmus Hazer (-99) added 12 points, 5 assists and 5 steals (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) in the effort for Bandirma Kir.Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Istanbulspor have a solid series of four victories in a row. Newly promoted Istanbulspor maintains seventh place with 16-9 record. Loser Bandirma Kir. keeps the tenth position with 13 games lost. Samsun looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Final Genclik's players. Quite impressive performance for American point guard Jerry Smith (188-87, college: Louisville, agency: HMS) who helped to win the game recording 19 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists. His fellow American import forward Mikael Hopkins (206, college: Georgetown) contributed with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Four Samsun players scored in double figures. American guard Anthony Tucker (193-89, college: MSU Moorhead) answered with 20 points and forward Atakan Denk (191-91) added 15 points in the effort for Final Genclik. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Newly promoted Samsun maintains eighth place with 14-10 record. Final Genclik lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the sixteenth position with 19 games lost. Samsun will face league's second-placed Sakarya BSB in Sakaraya in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Final Genclik will play at home against Bandirma Kir.
