In the 24th week of Turkish Airlines Euroleague, Fenerbahce Istanbul achieved to beat B.C. Zalgiris Kaunas in Kaunas, 67-76. In the absence of big man Jan Vesely (213-C/F-90) and guard Kostas Sloukas, it was a key game for Fenerbahce Istanbul to solidify the 4th spot on the standings.

After very close first 2 quarters, B.C. Zalgiris Kaunas went to locker room with a slight advantage (31-30). In the third and fourth quarters, Fenerbahce Istanbul increased the intensity of defense and opened the gap; where team captain Melih Mahmutoglu (193-G-90) played a key role with 4/4 behind the arc. Bobby Dixon (178-PG-83, college: Troy, agency: BeoBasket) had a noticable night with 9 assists and 12 points. Ekpe Udoh (208-F/C-87, college: Baylor) was very effective on both sides of the court, adding 16 points with 8/11 shooting, 7 rebounds and 4 blocks.

Fenerbahce Istanbul will host Baskonia next week and B.C. Zalgiris Kaunas will host Panathinaikos Athens.
