TBL top team - Eskisehir Basket (22-4) managed to deliver another win on Saturday. This time they beat fifteenth ranked Pertevniyal (8-18) in Edirne 80-68. Eskisehir Basket looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American power forward Josh Duncan (203-86) scored 26 points and 9 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and guard Yunus Sonsirma (192-92) chipped in 9 points, 6 rebounds and 11 assists during the contest. Guard Ogulcan Baykan (196-96) responded with 20 points and 5 assists. Pertevniyal's coach Andac Yapicier rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Eskisehir Basket have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 22-4 record. Pertevniyal lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fourteenth place with 18 games lost. They share the position with Duzce Bld.. Eskisehir Basket are looking forward to face Bursaspor (#4) on the road in the next round. Pertevniyal will play against Yalova Bld (#13) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
The game in Istanbul was also worth to mention about. Sixth ranked Afyon Bld (18-9) played at the court of 7th ranked Istanbulspor (16-10). Afyon Bld did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 88-71. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Istanbulspor. American guard Quincy Douby (190-84, college: Rutgers) notched 27 points and 6 rebounds to lead the effort and Hadi Ozdemir supported him with 15 points and 9 rebounds. Even 26 points and 7 rebounds by American Brandon Brown (201-85, college: CS San Bernar.) did not help to save the game for Istanbulspor. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Afyon Bld moved-up to fifth place. Newly promoted Istanbulspor keeps the seventh position with ten games lost. Afyon Bld will play against Final Genclik (#16) in Bursa in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Istanbulspor will play on the road against Turk Telekom (#9) in Ankara and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
A very close game took place in Akhisar between Gelisim and Akhisar Bld. Twelfth ranked Gelisim (11-16) got a very close victory on the road over 11th ranked Akhisar Bld (10-16). Gelisim managed to escape with a 1-point win 73-72 in the game for the eleventh place. The best player for the winners was Hasan Rizvic who had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 17 rebounds. Tyler Smith produced 12 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists for the hosts. Gelisim have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to eleventh place. Akhisar Bld at the other side dropped to the twelfth position with 16 games lost. Gelisim will meet at home Mamak DSI (#17) in the next round where they are favorite. Akhisar Bld will play against Samsun (#8) and hope to secure a win.
13th ranked Yalova Bld (9-17) was outscored at home by ninth ranked Turk Telekom (14-12) with the biggest margin this round 101-82. Tywain McKee orchestrated the victory by scoring 25 points, 7 rebounds, 9 assists and 5 steals. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Turk Telekom maintains ninth position with 14-12 record. Newly promoted Yalova Bld keeps the thirteenth place with 17 games lost. Turk Telekom's next round opponent will be higher ranked Istanbulspor (#7) at home and it may be quite challenging game. Yalova Bld will play against Pertevniyal (#15) in Istanbul and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

There were no shocking results in the other games in round 26: bottom-ranked Mugla Orman lost to Mamak DSI on the opponent's court 82-94. Socar Petkim managed to outperform Acibadem in a home game 77-70. Bursaspor rolled over Duzce Bld. on the road 73-54. Sakarya BSB defeated Samsun on its own court 86-74. Bandirma Kir. beat Final Genclik in Balikesir 78-70.

Yalova Bld - Turk Telekom 82-101

13th ranked Yalova Bld (9-17) was outscored at home by ninth ranked Turk Telekom (14-12) with the biggest margin this round 101-82. Turk Telekom players were unselfish on offense dishing 33 assists comparing to just 17 passes made by Yalova Bld's players. American point guard Tywain McKee (188-86, college: Coppin St.) orchestrated the victory by scoring 25 points, 7 rebounds, 9 assists and 5 steals. The former international swingman Serhat Cetin (197-86) contributed with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 10 assists for the winners. Four Turk Telekom players scored in double figures. Bandirma Kir. forced 23 Final Genclik turnovers. 28 personal fouls committed by Final Genclik helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Erkan Yilmaz (198-97) orchestrated the victory by scoring 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Ercan Osmani contributed with 12 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Four Bandirma Kir. players scored in double figures. American guard Anthony Tucker (193-89, college: MSU Moorhead) replied with 26 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and power forward Polat Kocaoglu (205-79, agency: 1x1 Sports) added 15 points in the effort for Final Genclik. Final Genclik's coach Ali Uruk let to play eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Bandirma Kir. maintains tenth position with 13-13 record.
