We bring you last week's top performances from Turks who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.

Enes Kanter
Enes Kanter
#1. This week's number one is former international center Enes Kanter (211-92, college: Kentucky, currently plays in NBA). He could not help the Oklahoma City Thunder (37-29) in their last game. Despite Kanter's very good performance the Oklahoma City Thunder (37-29) lost 89-104 on the road to the Dallas Mavericks. He had a double-double by scoring 16 points and getting 10 rebounds in a mere 19 minutes on the court. Kanter has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 14.3ppg, 6.9rpg, 2FGP: 58.2%(311-534), 3FGP: 14.7% and FT: 78.9% in 56 games he played so far. Kanter played for the Turkish senior national team three years ago.

Ersan Ilyasova
Ersan Ilyasova
#2. Second place goes to former international forward Ersan Ilyasova (208-87, currently plays in NBA). He was not able to help the Atlanta Hawks (37-29) in their last game on Monday. Despite Ilyasova's very good performance the Atlanta Hawks (37-29) were defeated 119-111 in Oakland by the Golden State Warriors. He scored 15 points and had 3 steals. Ilyasova has relatively good stats this season: 9.7ppg, 4.6rpg, 1.3apg, 1.1spg, 3FGP: 46.2%(12-26) and FT: 85.2%. Former Yesilyurt Istanbul starter played for the Turkish national team in 2015.

Engin Atsur
Engin Atsur

The Turkish player who performed third best last week abroad was an experienced former international guard Engin Atsur (190-84, agency: BeoBasket, college: N.Carolina St., currently plays in Germany). He led ALBA Berlin to an easy victory against the 15th-ranked s Oliver Baskets (6-18) crushing them 99-75 in the German BBL on Saturday night. Atsur recorded 12 points and added 3 assists (made all of his nine free throws !!!) in 21 minutes. ALBA Berlin (16-9) is placed fifth in the BBL.    #5. Former U20 international forward Kerem Kanter (206-95, currently plays college basketball in the States), who plays in the NCAA was not able to secure a victory for the Green Bay (12-6) in their last game. Despite Kanter's very good performance the Green Bay lost 70-79 in Chicago to the University of Illinois-. He had a double-double by scoring 19 points and getting 13 rebounds in 30 minutes. Kanter's team will play only one more game in the NCAA Regular Season. And that game will be critical. This year Kanter has relatively solid stats: 11.0ppg and 6.1rpg in 29 games. He used to play for the Turkish U20 national team three years ago.

U20 international center Omer Yurtseven (213-98, is currently at the American university) couldn't help the N.Carolina St. (4-14) in their game against the Clemson University (6-12) in the NCAA. Yurtseven cannot count Tuesday's game as one of the best ones. He recorded only 2 points. The N.Carolina St. was defeated 75-61 on their home court in Raleigh by the University. It was N.Carolina St.'s third consecutive loss in a row. The Regular Season already ended in the NCAA. Yurtseven has averaged so far 5.9ppg, 4.4rpg and 1.2apg. He is also Turkish U20 national team player.

The list of other players, who all have Turkish passport but never been selected to any of Turkish national teams:

#1. Zekiqi scored 24 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. KB Trepca Mitrovice (3-0) is placed second in the SuperLeague. So far his team won all three games in the Regular Season. It's Zekiqi's first season with the team. He has reliable stats this year: 14.4ppg, 3.3rpg and 1.8apg.    #2. Kaan Korkmaz (185-PG, currently plays in NCAA2) led Colorado School of Mines to a victory against the Arkansas-Fort Smith (13-5) 90-79 in the NCAA2 last Saturday. Korkmaz recorded 11 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. The Colorado School of Mines have a very solid 19-3 record this season. It was his team's seventh consecutive victory in a row. They will play only one more game in the NCAA2 National Tournament Round 1. And that game will be critical. It's Korkmaz's fifth year with the team. He has averaged so far 5.2ppg, 1.9rpg and 2.2apg.

#3. Baris Aktas (192-SF-91, agency: 011 Sports, currently plays in Romania). Aktas could not help Craiova (5-15) to beat Targu Mures (9-10). He recorded 5 points in 14 minutes. The third-placed Craiova (5-15) lost 77-85 on the road to the leading Targu Mures in the Places 7-10 group. There are only four games left until the end of the Second Stage.
