Top ranked Eskisehir Basket (22-5) recorded its fifth loss on the court of fourth ranked Bursaspor on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by Bursaspor 77-66. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Eskisehir Basket. The best player for the winners was Serbian power forward Dejan Borovnjak (207-86, agency: BeoBasket) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line). The former international forward Yunus Cankaya (199-85) chipped in 14 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American power forward Josh Duncan (203-86) who recorded 14 points and 8 rebounds. Bursaspor (20-7) have an impressive series of five victories in a row. Newly promoted Bursaspor maintains fourth place. Eskisehir Basket at the other side still keeps top position with five games lost. Bursaspor are looking forward to face Yalova Bld (#13) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Eskisehir Basket will play against Acibadem (#6) and is hoping to win this game.
The game with biggest result difference took place in Istanbul. Local Acibadem (18-9) outscored 14th ranked Duzce Belediye (8-19) 88-69. It was a good game for American power forward Sharrod Ford (206-82, college: Clemson) who led his team to a victory with 16 points and 9 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Can Altintig contributed with 22 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners. American-Puerto Rican point guard TreVon Hughes (183-87, college: Wisconsin) answered with 14 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for Duzce Belediye. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Acibadem maintains sixth place with 18-9 record. Newly promoted Duzce Belediye keeps the fourteenth position with 19 games lost. They share it with Pertevniyal. Acibadem will play against league's leader Eskisehir Basket in Edirne in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Duzce Belediye will play at home against Muglaorman (#18) and hopes to get back on the winning track.

Other games of round 27 were very predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
Sakarya BSB defeated Bandirma Kir. in Sakaraya 75-65. Samsun beat Akhisar Bld at home 77-69. Socar Petkim won against Mugla Orman on the opponent's court 81-71. Turk Telekom unfortunately lost to Istanbulspor in a home game 100-104. Yalova Bld managed to beat Pertevniyal on the road 90-84. Afyon defeated Final Genclik on its own court 85-80. Mamak DSI was beaten by Gelisim in Izmir 81-76.

There was no surprise in Balikesir where 10th ranked Bandirma Kir. (13-14) was defeated by third ranked Sakarya BSB (22-6) 75-65. They made 23-of-27 charity shots (85.2 percent) during the game. Bandirma Kir. was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for the former international Kerem Gonlum (208-77) who led his team to a victory with 17 points and 8 rebounds. Center Hakan Yapar (202-84) contributed with 8 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Nigerian center Tonye Jekiri (213-94, college: Miami, FL) answered with 15 points and 7 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) and Erkan Yilmaz (198-97) added 8 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Bandirma Kir.Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Gelisim - Mamak DSI 81-76

There was no surprise in Izmir where 17th ranked Mamak DSI (5-22) was defeated by eleventh ranked Gelisim (12-16) 81-76. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Gelisim outrebounded Mamak DSI 43-27 including 16 on the offensive glass. It was a good game for Bosnian-Slovenian center Hasan Rizvic (212-84) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 12 rebounds (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field). American point guard Adonte Parker (186-89, college: Dayton) contributed with 20 points and 4 assists for the winners. The former international swingman Ulug Kacaniku (202-85) answered with a triple-double by scoring 11 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists and American guard Tyshawn Taylor (191-90, college: Kansas) added 17 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists in the effort for Mamak DSI. Four Gelisim and five Mamak DSI players scored in double figures. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Gelisim. They maintain eleventh place with 12-16 record. Mamak DSI at the other side keeps the seventeenth position with 22 games lost. Gelisim will play against higher ranked Socar Petkim (#3) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Mamak DSI will play against Samsun (#8) and hopes to get back on the winning track.

Pinar Karsiyaka SK Izmir (BSL) agreed terms with 22-year old center Emircan Kosut (216-95) from Yesilgiresun. In 30 BSL games he had 5.8ppg and 3.6rpg last season. The previous (15-16) season Kosut played at Anadolu Efes. But in 6 BSL games he recorded just 1.3ppg and 1.0rpg. He helped them to win the cup and make to league final.
