There was no lack of excitement in the last round games. The round ended with derby games and favorites losing the games.

The most important game in the last round took place in Istanbul between second ranked Anadolu Efes (21-3) and eighth ranked Gaziantep (12-12) on Sunday night. Anadolu Efes was defeated by Gaziantep at home 96-84. It ended at the same time the ten-game winning streak of Anadolu Efes. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Marcus Denmon (191-90, college: Missouri) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 26 points and 10 rebounds and the other American import forward Davon Jefferson (204-86, college: USC) who added 25 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was French guard Thomas Heurtel (189-89, agency: BeoBasket) with 26 points and 9 assists. Gaziantep maintains eighth position with 12-12 record. Anadolu Efes at the other side keeps the second place with three games lost. Gaziantep are looking forward to face Trabzonspor (#12) at home in the next round. Anadolu Efes will play against Pinar Karsiyaka (#7) and is hoping to win this game.
BSL top team - Fenerbahce (22-2) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat ninth ranked Tofas (10-14) in Istanbul 90-75. The winners were led by American forward James Nunnally (201-90, college: UCSB) who scored that evening 26 points and 4 assists (perfect from downtown making all six shots !!!) and Jan Vesely supported him with 15 points. Even 25 points by American forward Tony Crocker (200-87, college: Oklahoma) did not help to save the game for Tofas. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Fenerbahce have an impressive 15-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 22-2 record. Tofas lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the ninth place with 14 games lost. Fenerbahce will play against Banvit (#4) in Balikesir in the next round. Tofas will play at home against Besiktas (#3) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
Tenth-ranked Istanbul BBSK (9-15) gave a tough game to fifth ranked Darussafaka (17-7) on Sunday. The visitors managed to secure only one-point victory 94-93. However their fans expected much easier game. The best player for the winners was Brad Wanamaker who scored 29 points and 6 assists. Darussafaka's coach David Blatt used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was Sean Armand who recorded 24 points and 5 assists. Darussafaka have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Banvit BK. Loser Istanbul BBSK keeps the tenth position with 15 games lost. They share it with Yesilgiresun. Darussafaka will meet at home Yesilgiresun Bld (#10) in the next round where they are favorite. Istanbul BBSK will play against Galatasaray in Istanbul and hope to secure a win.
A very interesting game took place in Giresun. This derby game ended with only one-point home defeat of 10th ranked Yesilgiresun Bld (9-15) to seventh ranked Pinar Karsiyaka (13-11) 82-81 on Saturday evening. It was a good game for Mateusz Ponitka who saved his team from a defeat with 20 points and 6 rebounds. Pinar Karsiyaka maintains seventh position with 13-11 record. Yesilgiresun Bld lost third consecutive game. They keep the tenth place with 15 games lost. Pinar Karsiyaka's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Anadolu Efes in Istanbul and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Yesilgiresun Bld will play on the road against Darussafaka (#5) in Istanbul and hope to win that game.
16th ranked TED Kolejliler (2-22) was outscored at home by fourteenth ranked Demir IBB (7-17) with the biggest margin this round 96-73 on Sunday night. Worth to mention a quality performance of Andrija Stipanovic who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points, 17 rebounds and 7 assists. Demir IBB moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with Usak. TED Kolejliler lost fourth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 22 lost games. Demir IBB will face Usak Sportlif (#13) at home in the next round. TED Kolejliler will play against Balikesir and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

There were no shocking results in the other games in round 24: Galatasaray won against Usak on the opponent's court 95-88. Trabzonspor unfortunately lost to Banvit BK in a home game 66-75. Best Balikesir recorded a loss to Besiktas on the road 75-84.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 9 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists by Mike Green of Pinar Karsiyaka.

Usak - Galatasaray 88-95

Very expected game when 13th ranked Usak Sportlif (7-17) was defeated at home by sixth ranked Galatasaray (14-10) 95-88 on Monday. Galatasaray made 25-of-32 free shots (78.1 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Usak Sportlif was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of German center Tibor Pleiss (217-89) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds and Serbian forward Vladimir Micov (201-85, agency: BeoBasket) who added 21 points during the contest. Galatasaray's coach Ergin Ataman allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was American Shaquielle McKissic (196-90, college: Arizona St.) with 25 points and 8 rebounds and Greek-American center Zach Auguste (208-93, college: Notre Dame, agency: Pensack Sports) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Galatasaray maintains sixth position with 14-10 record. Loser Usak Sportlif keeps the thirteenth place with 17 games lost. Galatasaray's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Istanbul Istanbul BBSK.

BSL top team - Fenerbahce (22-2) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat ninth ranked Tofas (10-14) in Istanbul 90-75. Fenerbahce shot 60.4 percent from the field and made 18-of-21 charity shots (85.7 percent) during the game. They shot the lights out from three nailing 14 long-distance shots on high 51.9 percentage. Fenerbahce players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. The winners were led by American forward James Nunnally (201-90, college: UCSB) who scored that evening 26 points and 4 assists (perfect from downtown making all six shots !!!) and Czech power forward Jan Vesely (213-90) supported him with 15 points. Not a big story in a game in Istanbul where 15th ranked Balikesir (5-19) was defeated by third ranked Besiktas (19-5) 84-75 on Saturday. Besiktas looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American-Tunisian Michael Roll (197-87, college: UCLA) who helped to win the game recording 11 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists and Serbian center Vladimir Stimac (210-87, agency: Interperformances) who added 11 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was American power forward Joey Dorsey (206-83, college: Memphis) with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) and his fellow American import point guard Alfrie Kelley (183-85, college: S.Carolina) scored 15 points and 7 assists. Five Besiktas and four Balikesir players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Besiktas have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 19-5 record having just three points less than leader Fenerbahce. Newly promoted Balikesir keeps the fifteenth place with 19 games lost.
