Wilbekin's 27 points give him Player of the Week award - Apr 17, 2017

Scottie
Wilbekin
23-year old guard Scottie Wilbekin (188-G-93) had an amazing evening in the last round for Darussafaka and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 26.
He had the game-high 27 points adding two rebounds and three assists for Darussafaka in his team's victory, helping them to beat Pinar Karsiyaka (#7, 14-12) 95-90. Darussafaka maintains the 4th position in Turkish league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Darussafaka will need more victories to improve their 19-7 record. In the team's last game Wilbekin had a remarkable 88.9% from 2-point range and got three three-pointers out of 6 attempts. It's his second year at Darussafaka and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Scottie Wilbekin averages this season 13.7ppg and 4.2apg.

Second best performed player last round was Mike Green (185-PG-85) of Pinar Karsiyaka. He is American guard in his first season at Pinar Karsiyaka. In the last game Green recorded impressive 33 points and 5 assists. Bad luck as Pinar Karsiyaka lost that game 90-95 to the higher-ranked Darussafaka (#4, 19-7). Pinar Karsiyaka managed to keep the same 7th spot in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 14-12 record is not bad and everything may still change. Green is a newcomer at Pinar Karsiyaka and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Caleb Green (203-PF-85) of Trabzonspor (#14). Green showcased his all-around game by recording 25 points, eight rebounds and four assists in the last round. Despite Green's great performance Trabzonspor lost 77-100 to the higher-ranked Anadolu Efes (#2, 22-4). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Trabzonspor not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 18 games, recording just eight victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Green could try to bring Trabzonspor's a little bit higher in the standings. Green has individually a great season in Turkey. After 20 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 3.9apg (3rd best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Sammy Mejia (198-F/G-83) of Tofas - 18 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists
5. Davon Jefferson (204-F-86) of Gaziantep - 25 points, 9 rebounds and 2 assists
6. Bogdan Bogdanovic (198-G/F-92) of Fenerbahce - 26 points and 4 assists
7. Brad Wanamaker (193-G-89) of Darussafaka - 28 points, 3 rebounds and 7 assists
8. Jan Vesely (213-C/F-90) of Fenerbahce - 18 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists
9. Bryant Dunston (203-C-86) of Anadolu Efes - 13 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists
10. Earl Clark (208-F-88) of Besiktas - 18 points and 6 rebounds

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
