Interview with Kevin Tiggs - Oct 23, 2009 (by Max Brodsky)
Kevin Tiggs (196-F-84, college: E.Tenn.St.) was probably one of the best rookie recruits in the eastern European market this summer. Coming out of Eastern Tennessee State, Tiggs became MVP of Atlantic Sun Conference and was averaging: 21.4ppg, 4.8rpg, 2.0apg, 2.1spg, FGP: 52.9%, 3Pts: 35.2%, FT: 76.6% in 34 games.

1. What is your opinion about the competitive level you have found in the Ukrainian League?
I think Ukrainian league is a very competitive league they have some good players here that knows the game and play it different from how we play back at home, I will have more to say about that after the season really get started but as of right now i think this is a very good league.

2. Did you adjust European style of basketball easily?
Yes, I did because it just basketball I just had to figure out when to go fast and when to slow down because the style of basketball my team plays.

3. How do you approach your role as a team leader?
I approach my role of the team as a team player so one who knows his role and try to make his team better and better every day that i step on the court.

4. Describe your own game. Give me a scouting report on Kevin Tiggs.
I describe my game as an all around player. I like to do some of everything on the court like passing, dunking, shooting, and playing defense that the best report I can give you on me.

5. What about Ukrainian girls? Better than in the States?
I wouldnt no I havent met any yet. (smiles)

6. If you could bring anything from the USA over here with you, what would you bring?
I would bring more movies, games and power converter to keep me busy when i get home from practice.

7. How do you like the city? How do you entertain yourself in Zaporozhye?
I like this city it is big and the people here seem pretty nice to me. I entertain myself by watching TV, playing video games, and watching movies but i have yet walked around the city to see what there is to do but I have went once with one of my teammate to play pool for a couple of hours.

8. What do you think what chances Ferro-ZNTU has in Ukrainian Superleague this year?
I think we have a very good chance in the Superleague we just have to continue to be strong and play well at home and away games as the season goes on.

9. What about your future plans in your career?
I am still going to keep playing basketball where ever the Lord bless me with a job at and be the best player I can be into my time is up on the court, but after that i would like to give back to less fortunate kids.

Kevin Tiggs is averaging 17.4ppg, 4.2rpg, 2.4apg, 3.6spg, 2.0bpg in 5 games of Ukrainian Superleague.
