Interview with Kevin Tiggs - Oct 23, 2009 (by Max Brodsky) Kevin Tiggs (196-F-84, college: E.Tenn.St.) was probably one of the best rookie recruits in the eastern European market this summer. Coming out of Eastern Tennessee State, Tiggs became MVP of Atlantic Sun Conference and was averaging: 21.4ppg, 4.8rpg, 2.0apg, 2.1spg, FGP: 52.9%, 3Pts: 35.2%, FT: 76.6% in 34 games.
1. What is your opinion about the competitive level you have found in the Ukrainian League? I think Ukrainian league is a very competitive league they have some good players here that knows the game and play it different from how we play back at home, I will have more to say about that after the season really get started but as of right now i think this is a very good league.
2. Did you adjust European style of basketball easily? Yes, I did because it just basketball I just had to figure out when to go fast and when to slow down because the style of basketball my team plays.
3. How do you approach your role as a team leader? I approach my role of the team as a team player so one who knows his role and try to make his team better and better every day that i step on the court.
4. Describe your own game. Give me a scouting report on Kevin Tiggs. I describe my game as an all around player. I like to do some of everything on the court like passing, dunking, shooting, and playing defense that the best report I can give you on me.
5. What about Ukrainian girls? Better than in the States? I wouldnt no I havent met any yet. (smiles)
6. If you could bring anything from the USA over here with you, what would you bring? I would bring more movies, games and power converter to keep me busy when i get home from practice.
7. How do you like the city? How do you entertain yourself in Zaporozhye? I like this city it is big and the people here seem pretty nice to me. I entertain myself by watching TV, playing video games, and watching movies but i have yet walked around the city to see what there is to do but I have went once with one of my teammate to play pool for a couple of hours.
8. What do you think what chances Ferro-ZNTU has in Ukrainian Superleague this year? I think we have a very good chance in the Superleague we just have to continue to be strong and play well at home and away games as the season goes on.
9. What about your future plans in your career? I am still going to keep playing basketball where ever the Lord bless me with a job at and be the best player I can be into my time is up on the court, but after that i would like to give back to less fortunate kids.

Kryvbasbasket is third with 12-3 record beating BC Kyiv 67:59 at home. Jurica Zuza (207-C-78) led the way with 14 points and 10 boards, while Allen Jerel and Nesbitt Elton posted 11 each. Kravtsov Viacheslav and Pustozvonov Maksym notched 15 points apiece for the team from the capital.

Hoverla - Pulsar 84-71 Rostislav Kryvych (198-F/G-78) nailed 6 three-pointers for Hoverla that beat Pulsar 84:71. He scored 26 points in total, while Sparks Patrick added 16. Shemosyuk Ilya delivered 20 points for Pulsar.
Budivelnyk - Mykolaiv 96-88 Budivelnyk improved to 14-1 record on top beating Mykolaiv 96:88. Khalid El-Amin (178-G-79, agency: Beo Basket, college: Connecticut) stepped up with 28 points and Guinn folloed him with 15. Henderson Gerrod and Kobzisty Viktor posted 14 points each in a win. McClintock Daniel had a great night for the guests with 34 points and 13 rebounds.
BC Odessa - DniproAzot 77-64 BC Odessa cruised past DniproAzot 77:64 at the Regular Season Round 17. John DeGroat (198-F-85, college: Pittsburgh) paced all the winners with 24 points and 9 boards, whilst Coleman Jerome nettd 17. Karim Lamar ended up with 18 points for the guests and Berhin Olexandr had 13.
Dnipro - Khimik 97-81 Dnipro thrashed Khimik 97:81 as Martynas Andriukaitis (204-F-81) showed great field goal percentage for 30 points and Lebedev Andrei added 18. Mitchell Darrel answered with 21 points and Kalnichenko Andrii scored 13 for Yuzhny.
Halychyna - Ferro-ZNTU 63-96 Halychyna lost to Ferro-ZNTU 63:96 as the latter got 23 points from Steve Burtt (185-G-84, college: Iona). Thomas Charles collected 19 points and 10 boards, while Kandrusevich Heorhi posted 17. Williams Nick delivered 13 points in defeat.
Dnipro adds Aaron Pettway (211-C-80, agency: Hart Sports Mngm, college: Oklahoma St.) to the roster and hope to better their positions with the new player. The American player was recently released from the Latvian team and joined Ukrainian squad. Ventpsils have decided to terminate the contract of Aaron Pettway. The American player was recently released from the Latvian team and joined Ukrainian squad. Ventpsils have decided to terminate the contract of Aaron Pettway. The 29-year-old centre joined the Latvian champions at the start of the season. The centre averaged 8.2 points, 8.6 boards and 1.2 assists per game in the LBL season. In EuroCup Aaron Pettway came up with 8.3 points, 5.8 rebounds and 1.2 steals per appearance. Aaron Pettway arrived to Latvia from France where he played for Strasbourg. One of the achievement with the Latvian side was the appearance in EuroLeague Qualifying Round. In the first game versus Italian Benetton TV Aaron Pettway led the winners with 20 points and 17 rebounds for 78:73 win. Benetton however managed to beat Ventspils 88:76 and to reach the second qualification round. The team from Treviso survived in Latvia in Game 1 and today had couple of players in a game mood, what was enough for comfortable 12-point win. It is clear that Ventspils missed its chance in the first meeting. Daniel Hackett top-scored in victory with 22 points. Gary Neal had 15, Sandro Nicevic 14 and Judson Wallace collected 12 points and 9 rebounds. Aaron Pettway had 13 points and 8 rebounds. Beside Euroleague and EuroCup experience the American player appeared in Strasbourg (France), Antalya (Turkey) and Viking (Poland).
