VolinBasket led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Ternopil-TNEU's 38. VolinBasket forced 26 Ternopil-TNEU turnovers and outrebounded them 49-23 including a 23-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. Forward Dmitro Shvagrynskyi (196-89) fired 7 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. Andriy Novikov (200-F-89) and Vitaliy Bliznyuk (206-C-79) finished successful season in Belarus. Their Grodno-93 lost the Finals to Tsmoki-Minsk and finished second.
Tsmoki-Minsk became the Champions of Belarus! The defending champions swept the Finals series against Grodno-93 3-0 adding 74:66 road win.

Aliaksei Lashkevich (203-PF-78) top-scored for the winners with 17 points and Aliaksei Trastsinetski added 14. Pavel Ulyanko netted 11, while Ater Majok and Dzianis Korshuk added 7 apiece. Yuri Kuzminets replied with 20 points in the losing effort and Mastou scored 12. Igor Konuyshenko produced 10 and Korzh had 9. Andriy Novikov averaged 3.5 points per game, while Vitaliy Bliznyuk showed 4.3 points per game.

Volodimir Kholopov is back on the bridge in Cherkasy Monkeys. The team has agreed on terms of contract with the specialist to return to head coaching position. Volodimir Kholopov worked as head coach of Cherkasy in 2008/2012 seasons. He was replaced at helm of the team by Jovica Arsic before the season start. Kholopov worked as assistant coach during the last season. He will now try to improve Cherkasy position in the next season [read more]
