Experienced American Justin Love (189-G-78) had an amazing evening in the last round for BC Odessa and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 27.
The 33-year old guard had the game-high 26 points adding five rebounds and three assists for BC Odessa in his team's victory, helping them to beat Azovmash (18-10) 94-88. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. BC Odessa maintains the 4th position in Ukrainian Superleague. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. BC Odessa will need more victories to improve their 18-10 record. Love turned to be BC Odessa's top player in his first season with the team. Justin Love averages this season 15.0ppg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 27-year old American point guard Darrel Mitchell (181-PG-84, agency: Beo Basket) of Khimik. Mitchell impressed basketball fans with 29 points, 4 rebounds and 5 assists. It was enough for Khimik to edge the lower-ranked Mykolaiv (#10, 11-18) by 3 points 90-87. This victory allowed Khimik to move up to 5th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 17-11 record is not bad and everything may still change. Mitchell is a newcomer at Khimik and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 17.9ppg (#7). He also recorded 6.0 assists per game.

The third best performed player last round was another BC Odessa's star - Vincentian Shawn King (208-C-82). King showcased his all-around game by recording 15 points, nine rebounds and four assists in the last round. He was another key player of BC Odessa, helping his team with a 94-88 win against #3 ranked Azovmash in a game of the week. BC Odessa needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 18 victories and 10 lost games. King has a great season in Ukraine. After 28 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 18.1ppg (6th best) and rebounds with 10.7rpg (2nd best). He also has 2.1bpg and FGP: 60.1%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Marcus Walker (186-PG-86) of Hoverla - 28 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists
5. R.T. Guinn (208-C-81) of Ferro-ZNTU - 25 points and 11 rebounds
6. Kevin Tiggs (196-G/F-84) of Hoverla - 21 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists
7. Stanley Pringle (184-PG-87) of DniproAzot - 18 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists
8. Radoslav Rancik (207-F/C-79) of Azovmash - 21 points and 4 rebounds
9. Mike Davis (205-F-88) of Ferro-ZNTU - 17 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists
10. Daniel Ewing (191-G-83) of Azovmash - 17 points, 2 rebounds and 4 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
