We bring you last week's top performances from Ukrainians who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.

   #1. This week's number one is an international forward Katerina Dorogobuzova (187-90, agency: LBM Management). She led Neftochimic to a victory over the league leader Dunav 8806 (22-2) 102-94 in the Bulgarian NBL in Sunday night's game. Dorogobuzova was MVP of the game. She had a double-double by scoring 30 points and getting 11 rebounds in 40 minutes on the court. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Neftochimic 2010 Burgas (18-6) is placed second in the NBL. It's Dorogobuzova's first season with the team. Dorogobuzova belongs to league's top scorers (ranked #3) and also on the list of best rebounders (first place). She has individually a very good year with high stats. Dorogobuzova averages: 22.3ppg, 9.6rpg, 1.3spg, 2FGP: 58.4%(222-380), 3FGP: 47.8%(55-115) and FT: 83.7% in the 34 games she played so far. She is currently a member of the Ukrainian senior national team.

Second place goes to an international guard Olga Dubrovina (170-87, also represented by LBM Management) is a teammate of previously mentioned Katerina Dorogobuzova and both played together in the last Bulgarian NBL game. Dubrovina was the major contributor in Neftochimic's victory against the league leader Dunav 8806 (22-2) 102-94. She scored 27 points (!!!), grabbed 4 rebounds and dished 3 assists. Dubrovina is ranked eighth on the list of the top scorers in the league and also on the list of best passers (fourth place). This season she has very high stats. Dubrovina averages: 16.3ppg, 4.4rpg, 4.6apg, 2.6spg, 2FGP: 50.6%, 3FGP: 29.2% and FT: 79.9%. She is in the roster of the Ukrainian senior national team.

   #3. The Ukrainian player who performed third best last week abroad was an experienced international power forward Olena Zherzherunova (191-78, another player represented by LBM Management). Zherzherunova contributed to an easy victory against the sixth-ranked Targu Mures (19-9) crushing them 72-50 in the Romanian D1 on Saturday night. She recorded 8 points, 14 rebounds and 2 blocks in 31 minutes. CSM Targoviste (29-1) is placed first in the D1. It was her team's 13th consecutive victory in a row. Zherzherunova has relatively good stats this year: 11.8ppg, 7.6rpg, 1.7apg, 1.3bpg, 1.6spg, 2FGP: 52.1%, 3FGP: 38.9% and FT: 75.4% in the 26 games. Ex-Kozachka-Zalk Zaporozhye player is also a member of the Ukrainian senior national team.

   #4. Forward Olexandra Kurasova (186-86), who plays in the Hungarian A could not help MKB Euroleasing (22-0) to beat UNI SEAT (20-2). She scored 9 points, grabbed 5 rebounds and dished 4 assists. But the league leader MKB Euroleasing was defeated 65-58 on the road by the second-ranked UNI SEAT. This season Kurasova has relatively solid stats: 11.9ppg, 5.6rpg, 1.3apg and 1.7spg. She used to play for the Ukrainian national team back in 2010.

   #5. International guard Inna Kochubei (174-82) contributed to an easy victory against the closely-ranked MUKS Poznan (6-20) 62-46 in the Polish PLKK last Wednesday. Kochubei scored 10 points, made 7 passes and 7 steals in 33 minutes. Odra Brzeg (5-21) is placed second from the bottom (#13) in the PLKK. Kochubei is currently fourth on the league's list of most steals with 2.2spg. This year she also averages: 13.3ppg, 4.0rpg and 3.3apg in the 35 games. Kochubei plays currently for the Ukrainian national team.

   #6. Power forward Olesia Malashenko (189-91, another player represented by LBM Management) contributed to an easy victory against the closely-ranked Spartak St.Petersburg (8-9) crushing them 81-57 in the Russian PBL on Monday night. She scored 7 points. Vologda-Chevakata (10-8) is placed fifth in the PBL. Malashenko's overall stats this season are: 7.8ppg and 2.9rpg. She is a former international player as she played for the Ukrainian senior team two years ago.

   #7. Former international guard Anna Sokolan (178-84) is a teammate of previously mentioned Katerina Dorogobuzova. But that was another game of her team in Bulgarian NBL which we would like to mention. Sokolan contributed to Neftochimic's victory against the closely-ranked Montana 2003 (15-9) 78-72. She scored 8 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 23 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Neftochimic 2010 Burgas (18-6) is placed second in the NBL. Sokolan has been at the team for six years. This season Sokolan's overall stats are: 6.8ppg, 3.1rpg, 1.6apg and 1.1spg in the 34 games. Despite she played previously for the Russian national team, Sokolan is currently in the Ukrainian national team roster.

   #8. Small forward Yuliya Andreyeva (188-83) contributed to an easy victory against the closely-ranked Tarbes (14-12) crushing them 86-58 in the French LFB last Tuesday. She recorded 7 points. Reze Nantes Basket 44 (13-13) is placed eighth in the LFB. It was her team's third consecutive victory in a row. Andreyeva plays seventh season for the team. Andreyeva's total stats this year are: 4.4ppg and 2.1rpg. Despite she played previously for the Russian national team, Andreyeva is currently in the Ukrainian national team roster.

   #9. International center Aleksandra Khomenchuk (200-89) was the main contributor in Gorizont's victory against the closely-ranked Minsk-2006 (3-3) 61-57 in a derby game in the Baltic League on Friday night. She was the best player in that game. Khomenchuk had a double-double by scoring 19 points and getting 11 rebounds. She also added 3 assists, 5 blocks and 4 steals in 31 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 2 ranked teams in group D. BK Gorizont Minsk (6-0) is placed first. So far her team won all six games in the Semi-Finals. Khomenchuk has reliable stats this year: 12.3ppg, 8.3rpg, 1.9apg and 2.4bpg in the seven games. Despite she played previously for the Russian national team, Khomenchuk is currently in the Ukrainian national team roster.

Power forward Katia Levitsky (190-85, agency: Data Plus Group, college: Villanova) was not able to help one of league's weakest teams Elitzur Ramla (15-5) in their game against Maccabi Ashdod (15-5) in the Israeli D1. She recorded only 4 points. Elitzur Ramla was edged 58-56 in Ashdod by the leading Maccabi. Levitsky's total stats this season are: 7.4ppg, 4.4rpg and 1.8apg. She is an international player who is currently on the senior Ukrainian National Team roster.

   #11. International center Viktoria Mircheva (190-87) managed to help ZVVZ USK Praha in a victory against the second-ranked Frisco Sika 99-80 in the Czech Republic ZBL last Wednesday. Mircheva recorded only 4 points in 4 minutes on the court. This year Mircheva's total stats are: 5.8ppg and 2.8rpg in the 12 games. She plays currently for the Ukrainian national team.

   #12. Former international center Taisiia Bovykina (190-89, another player represented by LBM Management) was not able to secure a victory for Dunkerque in their game against Toulouse in the French LF2 (12th division). Bovykina was the second best scorer with 8 points. Her team was defeated 69-54. Bovykina averaged so far 10.5ppg, 5.2rpg, 1.6apg and 1.2spg. Despite she played previously for the Israeli national team, Bovykina is currently in the Ukrainian national team roster.

   #13. Former U20 international center Alina Iordan (190-88) contributed to a Olimpia GrGAU's victory against the closely-ranked Minsk-2006 76-65 in the Baltic League in Saturday night's game. She was the top player that evening. Iordan recorded 18 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in 31 minutes. Iordan has averaged so far 7.1ppg and 3.9rpg in the 17 games. Despite she played previously for the Israeli national team, Iordan is currently in the Ukrainian U20 national team roster.

   #14. International center Lyubov Alyoshkina (203-81) is a teammate of previously mentioned Alina Iordan. However that was another game of her team in Baltic League which brought her to that list. Alyoshkina, who plays in Belarus couldn't help Olimpia GrGAU (4-2) in their last game on Friday. Despite her good performance the second-placed Olimpia GrGAU was defeated 83-72 in Kaunas by the leading VICI Aistes in the group D of Baltic League. Alyoshkina recorded a double-double by scoring 12 points and getting 10 rebounds. She also added 4 blocks. Alyoshkina belongs to league's best rebounders (ranked #2) and also on the list of best blockers (second place). She has very reliable stats this season: 11.9ppg, 10.0rpg, 1.5apg and 1.8bpg. Despite Alyoshkina played previously for the Russian national team, she is currently in the Ukrainian national team roster.

   #15. International forward Anna Pokoiova (188-87, agency: Promotex) is a teammate of previously mentioned Alina Iordan and both played together in the last Baltic League game. Pokoiova helped her Belarusian team Olimpia GrGAU win their game against the closely-ranked Minsk-2006 76-65. She recorded 11 points and grabbed 9 rebounds in 29 minutes. Pokoiova averaged so far 11.4ppg, 5.0rpg, 2.0apg and 1.1spg in the 10 games. Despite she played previously for the Russian national team, Pokoiova is currently in the Ukrainian national team roster.

American Point guard Kaneisha Atwater (170-PG-92) put on an amazing game in the last round for Dynamo-NPU, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 17. The 24-year old player had a double-double of 24 points and 14 rebounds, while her team beat Blyskavky (#5, 11-10) 79-66. Dynamo-NPU maintains the 4th position in Ukrainian Superleague. The teams have now bigger motivation at this stage of Regular Season. Every game can be crucial and decide about teams' position at the end of Regular Season. There was no lack of interesting games this round. The round ended with change at the leadership position and extra overtimes. There was a change at the Superleague leadership position after last games. Round 17 most important game was a defeat of league's leader Tim-Scuf (17-2).
