Azovmash - BC Donetsk 74-77

BC Donetsk toppled Azovmash to take 3-0 lead in the title series. The guests trailed by 6 points after three quarters before their 18-9 charge, which allowed them to win the game. 26 personal fouls committed by Azovmash helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was American guard Ramel Curry (192-80, college: CSU Bakersfield) who scored 18 points and 5 rebounds. International center Viacheslav Kravtsov (211-87, agency: Beo Basket) chipped in 15 points and 6 rebounds. Four BC Donetsk players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American swingman Matt Walsh (197-82, college: Florida) who recorded 20 points and 5 assists and the former international guard Artur Drozdov (199-80) added 14 points and 13 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game.

Ferro-ZNTU - Budivelnyk 99-85

Ferro-ZNTU stepped closer to the pedestal after beating Budivelnyk in the third game of the consolation final series. It looked good early as Budivelnyk took an 4-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Ferro-ZNTU had a 29-12 second period charge getting the lead and Budivelnyk was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 85-99. It was a great shooting night for Ferro-ZNTU especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. Budivelnyk was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for American R.T. Guinn (208-81, college: Baylor) who led his team to a victory with 22 points and 8 rebounds. His fellow American import guard Randy Culpepper (182-89, college: UTEP) contributed with 22 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Montenegrin-Bosnian swingman Suad Sehovic (197-87) answered with 24 points and 8 rebounds and Belarusian center Artsiom Parakhouski (211-87, college: Radford) added 18 points and 5 rebounds (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) in the effort for Budivelnyk. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Budivelnyk's coach Zvezdan Mitrovic rotated eleven players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.

Hang Sen Guayzhou (NBL) added to their roster 32-year old Ukrainian ex-international guard Steven Burtt (189-84kg-84, college: Iona). He is a dual citizen owning also American passport. Burtt moved there from Byblos Sporting Club in Lebanese Pepsi LBL where he started the season. In 25 games he recorded very impressive stats: 22.6ppg, 2.8rpg, 4.2apg and 1.2spg this season. Evgeni Murzin takes over Budivelnyk - May 19, 2016

Budivlenyk Kyiv have announced the hiring of Evgeni Murzin . The specialist will replace Volodymyr Koval at head coaching position. Evgeni Murzin is not new to Budivelnyk. The specialist guided the Kyiv powerhouse back in 2001/2008 seasons. He worked with Hoverla for the last six seasons.
