Politekhnika-Halychyna kept Yaroslav Zubrytskyi (202-F-74) for the next season. The forward has agreed on terms of new contract with the Lviv team. Yaroslav Zubrytskyi joined Halychyna back in 2007. Last season the forward averaged 5.6 points and 3.3 rebounds per game in Superleague. Previously Yaroslav Zubrytskyi had stints with Khimik, MBC Odessa, Yambol, CSK-Riko Kiev and Dendi Basket. Eurobasket.com named Yaroslav Zubrytskyi Superleague Most Improved Player of the Year in 2004. He was the member of Ukrainian National Team in 1998/2008 seasons.
Azovmash Mariupol signed 27-year old USA ex-international point guard Derrick Low (188-PG-86, college: Washington St.). The player will remain in Ukraine but with another team.
Last season he played for Dnipro Dnepropetrovsk. In 39 games he recorded very impressive stats: 15.3ppg, 3.3rpg, 6.9apg and 1.6spg. His stats at that event were 5 games: 8.6ppg, 1.0rpg, 2FGP: 61.1%, 3PT: 37.5%.

Serbian U19 National Team claimed the first victory at the international friendly tournament in Zrenjanin. They knocked down Ukraine U20 for 1-1 record. Nikola Jankovic (205-PF-94) netted 17 points to pace the winners.

Serbia never looked back afterwards cruising to the victory. Jovan Novak (183-PG-94) posted 16 points, while Luka Nikolic (209-F/C-94) added 12 points for the hosts. Oleksandr Furs (202-PF-93) answered with 15 points for Ukraine. Vladyslav Koreniuk (206-C-94) and Klym Artamonov (183-PG-93) chipped in 14 points each in the defeat.

Hoverla is close to landing one of the top performers of the Ukrainian Higher League. Dmitri Lipovtsev (207-C-86) has reportedly agreed on terms of contract with Hoverla.
