Turkey eke out win over Ukraine in Sofia in Day 2 of the European Basketball Tour. The Turkish side grabbed 80:77 win for a perfect 2-0 record. The Ukrainian side dropped at 1-1 record.
Both teams entered the game with a perfect record after the first day of the competition. Ukraine won the first period 21:19, but failed in the second frame. The Turkish team dominated the rest of the half and grabbed 40:30 advantage at the halftime. Both teams scored the same number of points in the third period that remained 10-point advantage for Turkey. Ukraine tried hard to recover but managed to reduce to 3 points.
Semih Erden (211-C-87) top-scored for the winners with 20 points and Ilkan Karaman (205-F-90, agency: Beo Basket) netted 12. Ender Arslan (190-G-83) poured in 10 points and Sinan Guler (193-G-83, agency: 1x1 Sports, college: Carroll, MT) netted 7. Sergii Gladyr (196-G/F-88) and Steven Burtt (185-G-84, college: Iona) ended up with 13 points each in the losing effort. KORNIIENKO notched 12, while Viacheslav Kravtsov (212-C-87, agency: Beo Basket) scored 10.

Bipa Basket Odessa (Superleague) agreed terms with 33-year old point guard Sergiy Alfyorov (189-86kg-84) from VolinBasket. In 11 Superleague games he had 10.0ppg, 3.5rpg, 3.1apg and 1.0spg last season. The most of previous (2015-16) season Alfyorov spent at Tskaltubo in Georgia where in 15 Superleague games he was second best scorer with impressive 18.5ppg. Barring an unforeseen change of events, Phoenix Suns center Alex Len(7'1''-C-93, college: Maryland) is planning to sign the team's $4.2 million qualifying offer before training camp, clearing the way to become an unrestricted free agent in 2018, league sources told ESPN. SK Cherkasy Monkeys (Superleague) signed 31-year old American center Marvin Jefferson (206-107kg-86, college: Idaho). He played last season at Mugla Orman in Turkish TBL league. In 25 games he had 14.3ppg, 8.7rpg, 1.6apg and 1.9bpg. Jefferson also played that season for BM Slam Stal (also in TBL) where in 5 games he recorded 4.8ppg and 4.4rpg.
