Serbia roll over Ukraine in Belgrade in a friendly campaign between two sides. The hosts won the first game 84:65 as they produced narrow victories in all four quarters.
Serbia grabbed a 29:24 lead at the end of the first period and continued their dominance throughout the game. They added 18-17 in the second quarter for 47:41 halftime advantage. Moreover Serbia erupted with 21-9 in the third frame for 18-point lead after three quarters. The hosts added another 18-15 in the last stanza to seal the victory in the opener.
Nemanja Bjelica (209-F/C-88, agency: Interperformances) stepped up with 13 points and Nemanja Nedovic (192-PG-91, agency: Beo Basket) netted 12. Vladimir Lucic (202-F-89, agency: Beo Basket) and Mile Ilic (215-C-84, agency: Interperformances) followed them with 10 points apiece. Kornienko finished the game with 11 points, while Dmytro Gliebov (198-F-88, agency: Beo Basket), Viacheslav Kravtsov (212-C-87, agency: Beo Basket) and Steven Burtt (185-G-84, college: Iona) nailed 9 each. Gumenuk followed them with 7 pints in a loss.
