s.Oliver Baskets celebrated the first EuroCup win. They held off Azovmash in Group D opener. Dwayne Anderson (198-F-86, college: Villanova) finished with 19 points and 10 rebounds to pace the German side.
Azovmash opened the game confidently. The Ukrainian team stayed aggressive defensively and secured a 7-point lead at the first break 16:9. But s.Oliver Baskets gradually picked up the tempo. They capped the first half with eight straight points to take a 34:33 lead. The visitors opened a 9-point advantage early in the second half 51:42. Azovmash maintained the lead and ensured a 61:57 advantage at the final intermission. Stuckey helped s.Oliver Baskets to pull in front early in the fourth stanza. The hosts kept Azovmash at bay in the final minutes and raced to the victory. LaMont McIntosh (190-G-82, college: Georgia St.) nailed 13 points, while John Little (180-PG-84, college: N.Iowa) produced 10 points in the win. Miroslav Raduljica (213-C-88) responded with 20 points for Azovmash. Lynn Greer (186-PG-79, college: Temple) topscored with 25 points in the loss.

The Regular Season in Superleague just started. There was no lack of interesting games this round. The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Bipa Basket (0-1) in Zaporozhye on Friday night. Visitors were edged by Zaporizhya (1-0) 89-87. Bipa Basket was trailing by 7 points at halftime but managed to get 2-point lead after three quarters before a 24-20 charge of Zaporizhya, which allowed them to win the game. SK Cherkasy Monkeys (Superleague) signed experienced 34-year old Russian-Nigerian center Aleksey Adediran (202-110kg-82, college: Binghamton). He played last season at Energy Invest Rustavi in Georgia Superleague. In 6 games he had just 2.5ppg and 1.2rpg. BC Kremen Kremenchuk (Superleague) confirmed in their roster American point guard Rob Woodson (180-84kg, college: Grand Valley State). He played there last season. Woodson's team made it to the Superleague Semifinals. He was voted All-GLIAC 2nd Team in 2014 at his college time. Woodson is quite experienced player.
