The fans could enjoy quite many interesting games in the last round. The round ended with change at the leadership position, favorites losing the games and games ending by tiny margin.

Superleague round 19 caused change at the leadership position. Third defeat of league's leader Khimik (9-3) against twelfth ranked DniproAzot (3-8) 83-78 was the most important game of the last round. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Khimik. The hosts trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 46-39 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when DniproAzot made 9 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Ronald Davis (190-82, college: Wisc.-Milwaukee) who helped to win the game recording 26 points and 5 rebounds. His fellow American import forward Alan Wiggins (206-85, college: USF) contributed with 11 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. American-Bulgarian point guard Willie Deane (188-80, college: Purdue, agency: Higher Vision Sports) answered with 16 points and 6 assists for Khimik. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. DniproAzot moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Dnipro. Khimik at the other side still keeps top position with three games lost. They were joined at the leadership position by Ferro-ZNTU who have the same record. Khimik will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest and make it back to the top of the standings. DniproAzot will try to continue on its current victory against fourteenth ranked BC Odessa at home.
Very important is a road loss of second ranked Ferro-ZNTU (9-3) against sixth ranked Hoverla (7-5) on Friday night. Visiting Ferro-ZNTU was defeated by Hoverla in Frankivsk 100-85. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Ferro-ZNTU. American players dominated the game. It was a great evening for guard Eugene Lawrence (184-86, college: St.John's, agency: Two Points) who led his team to a victory scoring 18 points and 8 assists. Kyndall Dykes helped adding 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. At the losing side R.T. Guinn (208-81, college: Baylor) responded with 22 points (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field). Hoverla maintains sixth place with 7-5 record. Ferro-ZNTU at the other side still keeps top position with three games lost. They share it with Budivelnyk and Khimik. Hoverla will play against Kryvbasbasket (#8) in Krivoy Rog in the next round. Ferro-ZNTU will play on the road against Halychyna (#4) in Lviv and hopes to get back on the winning track.
An interesting game was also surprising home defeat of 4th ranked Halychyna in a game in Lviv versus Kryvbasbasket (#8) 85-78. It was an exceptional evening for Winsome Frazier who led the winners and scored 20 points and 5 rebounds. Kryvbasbasket's coach Karlis Muiznieks used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Michael Lee came up with 21 points and 5 rebounds for Halychyna in the defeat. Kryvbasbasket (6-6) moved-up to seventh place, which they share with BC Donetsk. Loser Halychyna keeps the fourth position with four games lost. They share it with Azovmash. Kryvbasbasket will meet higher ranked Hoverla (#6) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Halychyna will play against the league's leader Ferro-ZNTU having rather not much hope for a victory.
Bottom-ranked BC Odessa managed to get a third victory, breaking the series of three consecutive loses. This time they won against eleventh-ranked Dnipro in Dnepropetrovsk 82-73. Justin Love fired 17 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. BC Odessa (3-9) moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with BC Kyiv. Dnipro at the other side keeps the eleventh position with eight games lost. BC Odessa's next round opponent will be higher ranked DniproAzot (#12) in Dniprodzerzhynsk and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
Important game to mention about took place in Mykolaiv. Thirteenth ranked BC Kyiv (3-9) saved a 2-point victory on the road edging higher ranked Mykolaiv (4-7) 75-73 on Friday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Mykolaiv. It was a very good performance for Anthony Goods who helped to win the game recording 27 points. BC Kyiv maintains thirteenth place with 3-9 record, which they share with BC Odessa. Loser Mykolaiv keeps the ninth position with seven games lost. BC Kyiv will have a break next round.

In the last game of round 19 Budivelnyk beat Cherkasy on the road 80-75.

Cherkasy - Budivelnyk 75-80

No shocking result in a game when third ranked Budivelnyk (9-3) beat on the road 10th ranked Cherkasy (4-7) 80-75 on Friday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Cherkasy won fourth quarter 22-20. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Budivelnyk made 17-of-20 free shots (85.0 percent) during the game. It was a very good performance for American forward Leo Lyons (206-87, college: Missouri, agency: Edge Sports) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 8 rebounds. His fellow American import guard Malcolm Delaney (191-89, college: Virginia Tech) contributed with 19 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. American point guard Dante Swanson (178-81, college: Tulsa) answered with 19 points and 9 assists and the former international center Maxim Ivshyn (209-86, agency: Beo Basket) added 17 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Cherkasy. Four Cherkasy players scored in double figures. Budivelnyk have a solid series of three victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Ferro-ZNTU and Khimik. Loser Cherkasy dropped to the ninth place with seven games lost. Budivelnyk will face Mykolaiv (#9) in Mykolaiv in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
