BC Donetsk-referees showdown: first protest is rejected - Nov 24, 2012

Official BC Donetsk site reports the results of the protest filed by the refereeing in the match, Ferro-ZNTU - BC Donetsk, held on Nov. 17.

Immediately after the match, which ended with a score of 91:83 in favor of the Zaporizhia team, basketball club Donetsk exercised his right under paragraph 5.2.1 of the Rules of the Superleague Championships, and filed an official protest to the result of the match.The basis for this decision were numerous errors judging panel led by match FIBA-level referee Borys Shulha, who, according to the Donetsk club, was clearly biased. Later, as a confirmation of statements made in an official protest, the game video episodes were sent to the address Superleague look-up-Disciplinary Commission. But the appeal was rejected as unfounded.

The quotes of the decision:
- To reject BC "Donetsk" protest as unfounded
- To remove Borys Shulha from Superleague official games for 14 days from 11/26/12 to 12/09/12.
- To apply sanctions p.4.3 Superleague disciplinary rules to BC Donetsk sporting manager Oleksi Yefimov (incorrectly behavior, threats, and intimidation against judges, the Commissioner and the opponent)
- To bring an UAH 5000 mandatory financial contribution from BC Ferro-ZNTU for stramgers allowes to be on court.

Basketball club Donetsk did not agree with this Superleague decision and sent another formal appeal against the decision to consider it within ten days of the general meeting of the founders of the SuperLeague. BC Donetsk appeals to disqualify Borys Shulha for 1-3 years and force him to pay an UAH 10000 contribution.

American Brandon Fields (193-G-88) had a great game in the last round for league's leader Budivelnyk and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 34. The 28-year old guard got a double-double of 21 points and ten assists, while his team outclassed Mykolaiv (#7, 11-16) with 38-point margin 118-80. 27-year old forward Maxim Nikitin (201-F-89) had a very impressive game in the last round for Niko-Basket and receives a Eurobasket.com Higher League Player of the Week award for round 5 (Second Stage). Superleague Round 34: Leader Budivelnyk gets another victory - 3 days ago
The Regular Season in Superleague just ended. Host teams show no mercy winning all games. Leader Budivelnyk delivered the twenty fifth victory on Saturday night. This time they crushed 7th ranked Mykolaiv (11-16) 118-80 in Kyiv. The game was mostly controlled by Budivelnyk. Mykolaiv managed to win second period 22-18.
