Former international center Stanislav Balashov (210-C-79, agency: New Trend Agency) had a great game in the last round for BC Odessa, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 24.
The 33-year old player had a double-double of 23 points and 13 rebounds, while his team The game rather meaningless between the teams, which do not have any influence on the top of the standings. BC Odessa maintains the 14th position in Ukrainian Superleague. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked at the very bottom. They already lost 12 games and recorded just three victories. Balashov has many years of experience at BC Odessa, through which he has constantly improved. Stanislav Balashov has solid league stats. He is in league's top in rebounds (9th best: 6.7rpg) and averages impressive 1.3bpg and 57.9% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was 29-year old Australian Daniel Kickert (208-C/F-83) of Dnipro. Kickert had a very good evening with a double-double of 27 points and 10 rebounds. Bad luck as Dnipro lost that game 81-91 to the higher-ranked Hoverla (#5, 11-5). Dnipro is still second from the bottom in the standings. 12 lost games are too many comparing to just four victories Dnipro managed to get this year. Kickert is a newcomer at Dnipro, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was American guard Lynn Greer (186-PG-79) of Azovmash (#3). Greer scored 20 points and passed nine assists. He was a key player of Azovmash, leading his team to a 86-69 easy win against the lower-ranked BC Donetsk (#9, 7-8). Azovmash needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 11 victories and 4 lost games. Greer has a great season in Ukraine. After 15 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 5.5apg (6th best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Randy Culpepper (182-G-89) of Ferro-ZNTU - 27 points, 4 rebounds and 7 assists
5. Malcolm Delaney (191-G-89) of Budivelnyk - 24 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists
6. Miroslav Raduljica (213-C-88) of Azovmash - 16 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists
7. Cameron Moore (208-F-90) of Ferro-ZNTU - 21 points and 6 rebounds
8. Ryan Pearson (198-F-90) of Hoverla - 22 points and 10 rebounds
9. James Florence (185-G-88) of Kryvbasbasket - 21 points, 3 rebounds and 4 assists
10. Leo Lyons (206-F-87) of Budivelnyk - 20 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
