An interesting game for Bar Regina-B. (6-1) which played road game in Kyiv against their biggest opponent Tim-Scuf (4-3). First ranked Bar Regina-B. managed to get a 5-point victory 71-66. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Tim-Scuf. The guests trailed by 11 points after first quarter, but they rallied back winning two of next three quarters and won the game by 5 points. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Victoria Shmatova (170-87, agency: New Trend Agency) who helped to win the game recording 14 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Lyudmyla Naumenko (184-93) contributed with 10 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. International guard Inna Kochubei (174-82) answered with 22 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals for Tim-Scuf. Bar Regina-B. maintains first place with 6-1 record. Defending champion Tim-Scuf dropped to the third position with three games lost. Bar Regina-B. are looking forward to face Elizabeth-Basket (#5) in the next round. Tim-Scuf will play against Interkhim and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

It was a great evening for American guard Juanita Ward (180-86, college: Syracuse, agency: Merit Sports) who led her team to a victory scoring 29 points and 5 rebounds. Tyra White helped adding 22 points. At the losing side forward Zhanna Likhodid (177-80) responded with 24 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Dynamo moved-up to second place. Interkhim at the other side keeps the fourth position with four games lost. Dynamo will play against bottom-ranked Frankivsk-Hal. (#6) at home in the next round. Interkhim will play against Tim-Scuf in Kyiv and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Tim-Scuf - Bar Regina-B. 66-71

Interkhim - Dynamo 69-77

An interesting game for Dynamo (4-2) which played against 4th placed Interkhim (3-4). Third ranked Dynamo managed to get a 8-point victory 77-69. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Interkhim. It looked good early as Interkhim took an 1-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Dynamo had a 19-8 second period charge getting the lead and Interkhim was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 69-77. Dynamo made 26-of-34 charity shots (76.5 percent) during the game, while Interkhim only scored ten points from the stripe. It was a great evening for American guard Juanita Ward (180-86, college: Syracuse, agency: Merit Sports) who led her team to a victory scoring 29 points and 5 rebounds. Her fellow American import guard Tyra White (182-89, college: Texas A&M) helped adding 22 points.
