Here is the weekly review of the top performing Ukrainian players, who play currently abroad.

Steven Burtt
Steven Burtt
#1. This week's number one is an international guard Steven Burtt (185-84, college: Iona, currently plays in Turkey), who plays in the Turkish TBL. He could not help Tofas (3-5) in their last game. Despite Burtt's very good performance Tofas lost 77-85 on the road to the much higher-ranked (#4) Banvit BK. He was the top scorer with 26 points. Burtt also added 8 passes in 36 minutes on the court. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. It's Burtt's first year with the team. Burtt is currently fifth on the list of top scorers with 16.9ppg. He also averaged so far 2.5rpg, 4.1apg, 2FGP: 55.1%(38-69), 3FGP: 33.3% in the eight games he played so far. Burtt is a naturalized American. He is currently a member of the Ukrainian senior national team. Burtt used to play for Ferro-ZNTU Zaporozhye in Ukrainian league.

Serhiy Lishchuk
Serhiy Lishchuk
#2. Second place goes to an international power forward Serhiy Lishchuk (210-82, agency: Beo Basket, currently plays in Spain). Lishchuk managed to help Valencia Basket in a 3-point victoryagainst the closely-ranked Regal FC Barcelona (6-4) 81-78 in the Spanish ACB on Sunday night. He scored only 2 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 11 minutes. Valencia Basket (8-2) is placed third in the ACB. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. But the season just started, so everything may happen. Lishchuk is one of the most experienced players in a team as it's his fourth year in Valencia Basket's roster. This season Lishchuk averages: 7.4ppg, 3.6rpg, 1.1spg, 2FGP: 53.7% and FT: 85.2% in the nine games. He played for the Ukrainian national team in 2011.

Sergii Gladyr
Sergii Gladyr
#3. The Ukrainian player who performed third best last week abroad was an international shooting guard Sergii Gladyr (196-88, currently plays in Spain). Gladyr led Baloncesto Fuenlabrada to an overtime victory against the tenth-ranked Blancos de Rueda (5-5) 104-102 in the Spanish ACB last Saturday. He recorded 14 points in 37 minutes. Mad-Croc Fuenlabrada (2-8) is placed 15th in the ACB. They ended the series of four consecutive loses. But there are still lots of games to play and it's a long way to go. It's Gladyr's first season with the team. This year Gladyr's overall stats are: 9.9ppg, 3.3rpg, 2FGP: 58.1%(18-31), 3FGP: 33.3% and FT: 91.3%(21-23) in the 10 games. He is also a member of the Ukrainian senior national team.

Alex Len
Alex Len
#4. Center Alex Len (216-93, currently plays college basketball in the States) led Maryland to an easy victory against the Northwestern University crushing them 77-57 in the NCAA in Tuesday night's game. He had a double-double by scoring 13 points and getting the same number of rebounds. Len also added 2 blocks in 24 minutes. The University of Maryland has conference record this season. Len has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 16.4ppg and 5.9rpg in the eight games. Len is also Ukrainian U20 national team player.

Vladyslav Kondratyev
Vladyslav Kondratyev
#5. Former U20 international forward Vladyslav Kondratyev (203-90, currently studies in the States) contributed to a 2-point Bryant's victory against the Boston College 56-54 in the NCAA last Sunday. Kondratyev scored only 4 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 19 minutes. The Bryant University has conference record this season. Kondratyev has been at the team for four years. This year his total stats are: 8.6ppg and 5.4rpg in the seven games. Kondratyev used to play for the Ukrainian U20 national team two years ago.

The list of other players, who all have Ukrainian passport but never been selected to any of Ukrainian national teams:

#1. Rinalds Sirsnins (186-PG-85, currently plays in Latvia) was the major contributor in Jekabpils' victory against the eighth-ranked Jelgava (4-6) 104-103 in the Latvian LBL last Sunday. He scored 22 points and added 8 passes. BK Jekabpils (6-6) is placed fourth in the LBL. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. It's Sirsnins' first season with the team. Sirsnins has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 18.5ppg, 2.5rpg and 7.0apg.

#2. Sergei Dadukin (198-F-83, currently plays in Belarus) contributed to an easy victory against one of league's weakest teams Svisloch (1-8) crushing them 94-69 in the Belarusian Premier League in Friday night's game. Dadukin scored 9 points and grabbed 12 rebounds. BK Sozh Gomel (7-1) is placed second in the Premier League. It was his team's fifth consecutive victory in a row. But the season is still in it's first stage and everything can happen. Dadukin is currently second on the list of best rebounders. He has very reliable stats this season: 12.0ppg, 8.9rpg, 2.7apg and 1.1spg.

#3. Sergei Miakinin (206-F/C-86, currently plays in Belarus) is a teammate of previously mentioned Sergei Dadukin and both played together in the last Belarusian Premier League game. Miakinin led Sozh Gomel to an easy victory against one of league's weakest teams Svisloch (1-8) crushing them 94-69. He scored 11 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. Miakinin belongs to league's top scorers and is ranked #4. This season he has very high stats. Miakinin averages: 16.4ppg and 5.9rpg.

#4. Maksym Shtein (206-C-80, agency: Limelight Hoops, currently plays in Germany) contributed to a Weissenhorn Youngstars' victory against the fifth-ranked Licher Baeren (6-4) 68-58 in the German ProB (third division) last Saturday. He scored 10 points, had 8 rebounds and made 2 blocks. Weissenhorn Youngstars (7-3) is placed second in Group South. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. Shtein's total stats this season are: 6.1ppg, 5.7rpg and 1.7apg. He has a dual citizenship: Ukrainian and German.

#5. Ivan Kaliayev (201-F-87, currently plays in Belarus) is a teammate of previously mentioned Sergei Dadukin. He played also in the last Belarusian Premier League game facing Sergei Miakinin (above) in the other team. Kaliayev managed to help BK Sozh Gomel in a victory against one of league's weakest teams Svisloch (1-8) crushing them 94-69. He scored only 2 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 18 minutes. This year Kaliayev's total stats are: 8.0ppg, 5.0rpg, 1.8apg and 1.6spg in the eight games he played so far.

#6. Igor Nesterenko (201-C/F-90, currently plays in Israel), who plays in the Israeli National League (second division) could not help Elitzur Yavne to beat Ironi Nes-Ziona. He scored 6 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. His team was badly defeated by 20 points 98-78. Nesterenko's total stats this season are: 8.6ppg and 5.4rpg. He is another player who holds two passports: Ukrainian and Israeli. Despite Nesterenko's Ukrainian nationality, he previously played for the Israeli U20 national team and is probably not eligible to play for the Ukrainian team.
