22-year old forward Cameron Moore (208-F-90) had an amazing evening in the last round for league's best team Ferro-ZNTU and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 26.
He had the game-high 27 points adding eight rebounds for Ferro-ZNTU in his team's victory, helping them to beat Khimik (#4, 11-5) 105-91. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Ferro-ZNTU to consolidate first place in the Ukrainian league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Ferro-ZNTU has a very solid 14-4 record, but they cannot be too comfortable about keeping top position. Moore turned to be Ferro-ZNTU's top player in his first season with the team. University of Alabama at Birmingham graduate has very impressive stats this year. Moore is in league's top in rebounds (2nd best: 8.7rpg) and averages solid 62.3% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Vladan Vukosavljevic (206-F/C-84, agency: Beo Basket) of Halychyna. He is Serbian forward in his 2nd season at Halychyna. In the last game Vukosavljevic recorded impressive 19 points and 5 rebounds. Bad luck as Halychyna lost that game 72-82 to slightly lower-ranked Cherkasy (#7, 8-9). Halychyna managed to keep the same 6th spot in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 10-8 record is not bad and everything may still change. Vukosavljevic is well-known at Halychyna and he already established his position as one of the team's leaders.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Willie Deane (188-PG-80, agency: Higher Vision Sports) of Khimik (#4). Deane showcased his all-around game by recording 27 points, six rebounds and six assists in the last round. Despite Deane's great performance Khimik lost 91-105 to #1 ranked Ferro-ZNTU. But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The last thing Khimik needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 11 victories and 5 lost games. Deane has a great season in Ukraine. After 14 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 6.8apg (best passer).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Miroslav Raduljica (213-C-88) of Azovmash - 13 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists
5. Kyndall Dykes (190-SG-87) of Hoverla - 23 points and 3 rebounds
6. Alan Wiggins (206-F-85) of DniproAzot - 17 points and 8 rebounds
7. Vincent Hunter (208-F-84) of Cherkasy - 15 points and 5 rebounds
8. Anthony Shavies (191-G-83) of Mykolaiv - 19 points, 3 rebounds and 7 assists
9. Aleksey Adediran (204-C-82) of Mykolaiv - 18 points and 9 rebounds
10. Winsome Frazier (193-F/G-82) of Kryvbasbasket - 24 points, 2 rebounds and 2 assists

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)

Superleague Round 30: Cherkasy defeat Khimik in the closest game of the week - 10 hours ago
The games are now more important than at the beginning of the Regular Season. We may still expect few shocking results in upcoming 4 rounds. The most exciting game of round 30 in the Superleague took place in Cherkasy. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Khimik won fourth quarter 15-9. However it was no...   [read more]

Fifth-ranked SumDU (4-18) used its home court advantage to challenge second ranked Azovmash (15-9) in Sumy on Saturday. The visitors from Mariupol managed to secure only three-point victory 74-71. However their fans expected easier game. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of SumDU.
