The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Bar Regina-B. (6-2) in Kirovograd on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by fifth ranked Elizabeth-Basket (3-3) 86-68. The game without a history. Elizabeth-Basket led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Elizabeth-Basket made 7 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of international swingman Alina Iagupova (186-92, agency: LBM Management) who helped to win the game recording 27 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals and international center Alisa Ievtushenko (191-89, agency: LBM Management) who added 23 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. The former international forward Oxana Pysmennyk (190-78) responded with 22 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Elizabeth-Basket moved-up to fourth place. Bar Regina-B. at the other side still keeps top position with two games lost. Elizabeth-Basket are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Frankivsk-Hal. (#6) at home in the next round. Bar Regina-B. will play against Frankivsk-Hal. (#6) and is hoping to win this game.
Very significant was Tim-Scuf's (#3, 5-3) victory against 4th ranked Interkhim (3-5) 71-50. The winners were led by international guard Inna Kochubei (174-82) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 10 points, 7 rebounds, 13 assists and 6 steals and Miriam Uro-Nilie supported her with 17 points and 12 rebounds. Tim-Scuf's coach Inna Kochubei felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even a double-double of 14 points and 12 rebounds by forward Zhanna Likhodid (177-80) did not help to save the game for Interkhim. Defending champion maintains third position with 5-3 record behind leader Bar Regina-B. Interkhim at the other side dropped to the fifth place with five games lost. Tim-Scuf's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Kyiv Dynamo.

Frankivsk celebrate Higher League title in Ukraine. The team finished the campaign with a 32-6 record on top. In the latest two games they beat Poltava 86-56 and 69-42. Kristina Filevich top-scored for the winners with 17 points and 10 rebounds in the second game. Diana Bondaryuk posted 16, whilst Sidorak netted 11.
