There were many interesting games last round. The round ended with extra overtimes and favorites losing the games.

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Budivelnyk as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Budivelnyk defeated 7th ranked Cherkasy in Kyiv 77-60. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Cherkasy. The game was mostly controlled by Budivelnyk. Cherkasy managed to win second period 18-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The former international Artur Drozdov (200-80) fired 17 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Naturalized Lithuanian center Michailis Anisimovas (214-84) chipped in 6 points and 9 rebounds. American forward Charles Thomas (203-86, college: Arkansas) produced 12 points for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Budivelnyk have a solid three-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Cherkasy at the other side keeps the seventh place with ten games lost. They share the position with Mykolaiv. Cherkasy will play next round against BC Kyiv trying to get back on the winning streak. Budivelnyk will try to continue on its current victory against seventh ranked Mykolaiv in Mykolaiv.
Bottom-ranked Dnipro managed to get a fifth victory, breaking the five-game losing streak. This time they edged fourteenth-ranked BC Kyiv in Dnepropetrovsk 83-82. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Derrick Low (188-86, college: Washington St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points, 5 rebounds and 12 assists. Daniel Kickert contributed with 17 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. American forward Jarrod Jones (205-90, college: Ball St.) replied with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 11 rebounds for BC Kyiv. BC Kyiv's coach Renato Pasquali tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Dnipro (5-14) moved-up to thirteenth place. BC Kyiv lost fifth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 16 games lost. Dnipro will play against league's second-placed Ferro-ZNTU in Zaporozhye in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. BC Kyiv will play at home against Cherkasy (#8) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
The game in Lviv was also quite interesting. Fourth ranked Khimik (12-5) played at the court of 6th ranked Halychyna (10-10). Khimik managed to secure a 6-point victory 92-86 on Friday. Worth to mention a great performance of Vernon Goodridge who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Khimik's coach Zoran Martic used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side Michael Lee responded with 18 points and 4 assists. Khimik maintains fourth position with 12-5 record. Halychyna lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with ten games lost. Khimik will meet Hoverla (#5) in the next round. Halychyna will play against BC Odessa and hope to secure a win.

Hoverla lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with nine games lost. BC Odessa's next round opponent will be higher ranked Halychyna (#6) in Lviv and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Hoverla will play at home against Khimik having rather not much hope for a victory.

In the last game of round 28 Mykolaiv defeated BC Kyiv in Mykolaiv 76-63.
The best stats of 28th round was 16 points and 7 rebounds by Aleksey Adediran of Mykolaiv.



Kryvbasbasket - BC Donetsk 59-88

The game with biggest result difference took place in Krivoy Rog. Local Kryvbasbasket (9-11) was outscored by tenth ranked BC Donetsk (8-8) 88-59 on Friday night. The game without a history. BC Donetsk led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 19-of-25 free shots (76.0 percent) during the game. BC Donetsk outrebounded Kryvbasbasket 41-25 including a 31-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Kryvbasbasket's players. Kryvbasbasket was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Serbian forward Ivan Radenovic (209-84, college: Arizona) fired a double-double by scoring 11 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. International point guard Denys Lukashov (190-89) chipped in 15 points and 5 assists. Five BC Donetsk players scored in double figures. American power forward Callistus Eziukwu (208-85, college: Grand Valley St.) produced 5 points and 10 rebounds and his fellow American import swingman Winsome Frazier (193-82, college: Mississippi St.) added 10 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion maintains tenth position with 8-8 record. Halychyna - Khimik 86-92

The guests trailed by 7 points after three quarters before their 30-17 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Khimik dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Halychyna's 28 and made 23-of-28 free shots (82.1 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Halychyna 34-23 including 24 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Vernon Goodridge (206-84, college: La Salle) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) and American-Bulgarian point guard Willie Deane (188-80, college: Purdue, agency: Higher Vision Sports) who added 20 points and 5 assists during the contest. Goodridge is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Khimik's coach Zoran Martic used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side American forward Michael Lee (207-86) responded with 18 points and 4 assists and Serbian-Bosnian point guard Sasa Vasiljevic (180-79, agency: Beo Basket) scored 20 points (made all of his twelve free throws !!!). Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Khimik maintains fourth position with 12-5 record. Halychyna lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with ten games lost. Khimik will meet Hoverla (#5) in the next round. Halychyna will play against BC Odessa and hope to secure a win.

A very interesting game took place in Frankivsk. It ended with only two-point home defeat of higher ranked Hoverla (11-9) to thirteenth ranked BC Odessa (5-13) 73-71 on Friday evening.
