Here is the weekly review of the top performing Ukrainian players, who play currently abroad.

   #1. This week's number one is an international guard Steven Burtt (185-84, college: Iona, currently plays in Turkey). Burtt led Tofas to a victory over one of league's weakest teams Antalya (2-10) 91-80 in the Turkish TBL last Wednesday. He was MVP of the game. Burtt scored 23 points, grabbed 4 boards, passed 5 assists and added 3 steals. Tofas Bursa (5-7) is placed tenth in the TBL. Burtt is currently third on the list of top scorers. He has individually a very good season with high stats. Burtt averages: 17.9ppg, 2.8rpg, 4.0apg, 2FGP: 52.5%, 3FGP: 37.5% and FT: 84.8%. He is a naturalized American. Burtt is currently a member of the Ukrainian senior national team. He used to play for Ferro-ZNTU Zaporozhye in Ukrainian league.

Sergii Gladyr

   #2. Second place goes to an international shooting guard Sergii Gladyr (196-88, currently plays in Spain). Gladyr was the major contributor in a Baloncesto Fuenlabrada's victory against the closely-ranked Cajasol (3-11) 82-78 in the Spanish ACB in Sunday night's game. He scored 18 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. Mad-Croc Fuenlabrada (4-10) is placed 15th in the ACB. It's Gladyr's first season with the team. Gladyr has relatively good stats this year: 10.8ppg, 3.1rpg, 1.1spg, 2FGP: 56.8%(25-44), 3FGP: 37.1% and FT: 91.4%(32-35). He is in the roster of the Ukrainian senior national team.

   #3. The Ukrainian player who performed third best last week abroad was U20 international center Alex Len (216-93, currently plays college basketball in the States). Len contributed to Maryland's victory against the State University of New York,Stony Brook 76-69 in the NCAA on Friday night. He recorded 19 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. The University of Maryland has conference record this season. Len is currently fifth on the list of best rebounders and also on the list of best blockers (first place). He has very reliable stats this season: 14.1ppg, 10.1rpg, 3.3apg, 1.5spg, 2FGP: 59.5%(44-74), 3FGP: 34.6%. Len is also a member of the Ukrainian U20 national team.

Guard Vitaly Boyko (183-82, currently plays in Russia) was the main contributor in Volgograd's victory against the league outsider Spartak Vidnoye (1-11) 84-76 in the Russian Superleague (second division) last Sunday. He was the best player in that game. Boyko recorded 26 points (!!!), 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Krasnie Oktebr Volgograd (4-8) is placed 12th in the Superleague. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. Boyko is currently third on the list of top scorers. This season he has very high stats. Boyko averages: 16.5ppg, 4.9rpg, 3.3apg and 1.3spg. He used to play for the Ukrainian national team back in 2006.

International point guard Klym Artamonov (183-93, currently plays in Baltic League) managed to help BC Siauliai in a victory against the sixth-ranked Rapla (1-9) crushing them 100-76 in the Baltic League on Saturday night. Artamonov scored only 3 points, grabbed 4 rebounds and dished 4 assists in 20 minutes. BC Siauliai (8-2) is placed second in group A. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. The Regular Season already ended in the Baltic League. Artamonov belongs to league's best passers and is ranked #7 with 4.3apg. This year his other stats are: 5.0ppg and 2.5rpg in the 10 games he played so far. Artamonov plays currently for the Ukrainian national team.

Center Viacheslav Kravtsov (212-87, agency: Beo Basket, currently plays in NBA) contributed to an easy victory against the Washington Wizards (3-22) crushing them 100-68 in the NBA last Friday. Kravtsov recorded only 3 points in 6 minutes on the court. It was his first game for Detroit Pistons this season. His team have rather weak 9-21 record this season. Kravtsov is an international player who is currently on the senior Ukrainian National Team roster.

Former U20 international center Olexandr Berhin (205-85, currently plays in Russia) is a teammate of previously mentioned Vitaly Boyko and both played together in the last Russian Superleague game. Berhin contributed to Volgograd's victory against the league outsider Spartak Vidnoye (1-11) 84-76. He recorded a double-double by scoring 12 points and getting the same number of rebounds. Berhin's overall stats this season are: 8.9ppg, 5.9rpg and 1.3apg. He used to play for the Ukrainian U20 national team seven years ago.

   #8. An experienced guard Pavel Agapov (198-79, currently plays in Russia), who plays in the Russian Superleague (second division) could not help Ataman (9-4) to beat Rjazan (8-5). Agapov recorded only 4 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 17 minutes. Ataman was crushed 96-75 on the road by the lower-ranked (#5) Rjazan. This year Agapov's overall stats are: 2.2ppg and 2.1rpg in the nine games. He used to play for the Ukrainian university national team back in 2003.

   #9. U18 international forward Volodymyr Gerun (208-94, currently studies in the States) was not able to help the W.Virginia (0-1) in their game against the University of Michigan (0-0) in the NCAA. Gerun cannot count Saturday's game as one of the best ones. He recorded only 2 points. The W.Virginia was defeated 81-66 in Ann Arbor, MI by the University of Michigan. Gerun's total stats this season are: 2.2ppg and 2.1rpg. He used to play for the Ukrainian U18 national team last year.

   #10. Guard Dmitri Dyatlovsky (196-85, agency: Promotex, currently plays in Baltic League), who plays in Kazakhstan was not able to secure a victory for Barsy Atyrau (4-6) in their last game. Despite Dyatlovsky's good performance the fourth-placed Barsy Atyrau was edged in an overtime 85-84 in Palanga by the higher-ranked (#3) Naglis Palangos in the group A of Baltic League. He scored 13 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 38 minutes. It was Barsy Atyrau's third consecutive loss in a row. The Regular Season already ended in the Baltic League. This year Dyatlovsky's total stats are: 8.0ppg, 2.4rpg and 1.7apg in the 10 games. He is a former international player as eight years ago he still played for the Ukrainian senior national team.

   #11. Former U16 international forward Yaroslav Skrypets (193-91, currently plays in Baltic League) is a teammate of previously mentioned Dmitri Dyatlovsky and both played together in the last Baltic League game. Skrypets couldn't help Barsy Atyrau in their game against Naglis Palangos. He cannot count Tuesday's game as one of the best ones. Skrypets scored only 1 points. His team was edged in an overtime 85-84. Skrypets has averaged so far 1.3ppg and 1.8rpg. He used to play for the Ukrainian U16 national team five years ago.


The list of other players, who all have Ukrainian passport but never been selected to any of Ukrainian national teams:

   #1. Sergei Miakinin (206-F/C-86, currently plays in Belarus) led Sozh Gomel to a victory over the closely-ranked Tsmoki-Minsk II (5-7) crushing them 99-73 in the Belarusian Premier League in Friday night's game. He was MVP of the game. Miakinin scored 40 points (!!!) and grabbed 9 rebounds in 40 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. BK Sozh Gomel (10-2) is placed second in the Premier League. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. It's Miakinin's first season with the team. Miakinin belongs to league's top scorers and is ranked #3 with 17.9ppg. He also averaged so far 6.1rpg in the 12 games he played so far.

   #2. Rinalds Sirsnins (186-PG-85, currently plays in Latvia) was the main contributor in Jekabpils' victory against the league leader Valmiera (11-5) 83-70 in the Latvian LBL on Wednesday night. Sirsnins was the best player in that game. He had a double-double by scoring 20 points and getting 10 rebounds. Sirsnins also added 7 assists in 34 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. BK Jekabpils (9-7) is placed second in the LBL. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. They will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And that game will be critical. Sirsnins has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 15.2ppg, 4.8rpg, 6.7apg and 1.2spg in the six games.

   #3. Sergei Dadukin (198-F-83, currently plays in Belarus) is a teammate of previously mentioned Sergei Miakinin and both played together in the last Belarusian Premier League game. Dadukin contributed to an easy victory against the closely-ranked Tsmoki-Minsk II (5-7) crushing them 99-73. He had a double-double by scoring 10 points and getting 11 rebounds. Dadukin also added 7 assists in 40 minutes. Dadukin belongs to league's top scorers (ranked #9) and also on the list of best rebounders (second place). He has very reliable stats this year: 14.1ppg, 10.1rpg, 3.3apg and 1.5spg in the 11 games.

   #4. Ivan Kaliayev (201-F-87, currently plays in Belarus) is a teammate of previously mentioned Sergei Miakinin. He played also in the last Belarusian Premier League game facing Sergei Dadukin (above) in the other team. Kaliayev contributed to an easy victory against the closely-ranked Tsmoki-Minsk II (5-7) crushing them 99-73. He scored 10 points, grabbed 8 rebounds and dished 4 assists in 27 minutes. This year Kaliayev's overall stats are: 7.8ppg, 4.9rpg, 2.1apg and 1.6spg in the 12 games.

   #5. Maksym Shtein (206-C-80, agency: Limelight Hoops, currently plays in Germany) was the major contributor in a Weissenhorn Youngstars' victory against the 11th-ranked ifm Baskets Konstanz (3-10) 82-65 in the German ProB (third division) in Sunday night's game. He scored 17 points. Weissenhorn Youngstars (8-4) is placed second in Group South. Shtein's overall stats this season are: 7.8ppg, 5.3rpg and 1.8apg. He has a dual citizenship: Ukrainian and German.

   #6. Experienced Dmitro Gerasymenko (199-F-78, currently plays in Russia) managed to help Krasnie Oktebr Volgograd in a victory against the league outsider Spartak Vidnoye 84-76 in the Russian Superleague (second division) on Sunday night. Gerasymenko recorded only 3 points in 10 minutes. This year Gerasymenko's total stats are: 3.6ppg and 2.0rpg in the eight games.

   #7. Vadim Matyukevych (208-C-80, currently plays in Baltic League), who plays in Kazakhstan could not help Barsy Atyrau (4-6) in their last game on Tuesday. Despite his good performance the fourth-placed Barsy Atyrau was edged in an overtime 85-84 on the road by the higher-ranked Naglis Palangos (#3) in the group A of Baltic League. Matyukevych recorded a double-double by scoring 13 points and getting 11 rebounds. Matyukevych is currently third on the league's list of best rebounders. This season he has very good stats: 13.5ppg and 8.5rpg.

The game between third ranked Dnipro (11-5) and ninth ranked VolinBasket (3-11) was the most important one in the last round on Friday night. Dnipro was edged by VolinBasket in a tough game in Lutsk 69-71. The hosts trailed by 9 points after first quarter, but they rallied back and won the game by 2 points. VolinBasket looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. 32-year old Ukrainian power forward Artem Chemiakin (208-104kg-84). He started the season at VolinBasket in Ukrainian Superleague. In 11 games he had 13.2ppg, 7.8rpg and 1.1apg this season. The last season Chemiakin played at MBC Mykolaiv (SL Favorit Sport) in Ukrainian league where in 34 games he recorded 8.4ppg and 4.4rpg. His team made it to the Ukrainian Cup Final Four in 2014. He already started the season at Stelmet Zielona Gora in Polish PLK league, but left the team in Dec.'16,. In 9 games he averaged 4.8ppg and 2.0rpg this season.
