We bring you last week's top performances from Ukrainians who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.

   #1. This week's number one is an international guard Olga Dubrovina (170-87, agency: LBM Management, currently plays in Bulgaria). She led Neftochimic to a victory over the closely-ranked Haskovo 2012 (5-7) crushing them 87-58 in the Bulgarian NBL in Saturday night's game. Dubrovina was MVP of the game. She scored 21 points and added 6 passes in 38 minutes on the court. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Neftochimic 2010 Burgas (12-0) is placed first in the NBL. So far her team won all twelve games in the Regular Season. Dubrovina belongs to league's best passers (ranked #2) and also on the list of most steals (first place). She has very reliable stats this year: 13.6ppg, 4.0rpg, 5.8apg, 2.3spg, 2FGP: 52.2%, 3FGP: 35.1% and FT: 76.9% in the 12 games she played so far. Dubrovina played for the Ukrainian senior national team one years ago.

   #2. Second place goes to an international forward Olexandra Kurasova (186-86, currently plays in Euroleague). She contributed to a Rivas Ecopolis' victory against the seventh-ranked Tarsus Bld (1-7) 74-62 in the Euroleague last Wednesday. Kurasova scored 10 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. Rivas Ecopolis (4-3) is placed third in group A. Kurasova has relatively good stats this season: 13.0ppg, 5.1rpg, 2FGP: 50.8%, 3FGP: 37.5% and FT: 91.7%. She is in the roster of the Ukrainian senior national team.

   #3. The Ukrainian player who performed third best last week abroad was an international center Viktoria Mircheva (190-87, currently plays in France). Mircheva helped Nantes Reze win their game against the 11th-ranked Aix-en-Provence (5-9) 75-70 in the French LFB on Wednesday night. She scored 10 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 19 minutes. Nantes Reze Basket (8-6) is placed fifth in the LFB. It's Mircheva's first season with the team. This year Mircheva averages: 8.3ppg, 3.8rpg, 2FGP: 41.1%, 3FGP: 9.5% and FT: 84.6% in the 14 games. She has a dual citizenship: Ukrainian and Bulgarian. Mircheva is also a member of the Ukrainian senior national team.

Center Valeriya Berezhynska (193-86, agency: Josep and Nicolas, college: Rice, currently plays in Euroleague) helped her Polish team CCC Polkowice win their game against the closely-ranked Perfumerias Avenida (2-6) 74-63 in the Euroleague in Wednesday night's game. She scored 8 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. CCC Polkowice (3-5) is placed fifth in group C. There are only four games left until the end of the Euroleague Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Berezhynska's overall stats this season are: 9.0ppg and 4.7rpg. She used to play for the Ukrainian national team back in 2010.

International forward Katerina Dorogobuzova (190-90, also represented by LBM Management, currently plays in Hungary) was the main contributor in Bacsbasket's victory against one of league's weakest teams Cegledi EKK (3-12) crushing them 71-50 in the Hungarian A Division in Thursday night's game. She was the best player in that game. Dorogobuzova scored 13 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 28 minutes. Bacsbasket Kft. Baja (8-7) is placed fifth in the A Division. There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial. Dorogobuzova is currently third on the league's list of top scorers with 15.7ppg. She also averaged so far 5.2rpg and 1.5spg in the 15 games. Dorogobuzova used to play for the Ukrainian national team last year.

Center Aleksandra Khomenchuk (202-89, currently plays in Belarus) was the major contributor in Gorizont's victory against the closely-ranked Sozh Gomel (3-6) 81-65 in the Belarusian Premier League last Wednesday. She recorded a double-double by scoring 18 points and getting 13 rebounds (made all of her six free throws). BK Gorizont Minsk (6-2) is placed third in the Premier League. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be important. Khomenchuk is currently third on the league's list of best rebounders. This season she has very good stats: 10.6ppg, 10.0rpg and 1.3apg. Khomenchuk is international player as she played for the Ukrainian senior team one years ago.

International center Lyubov Alyoshkina (203-81, currently plays in Belarus) helped Olimpia GrGAU win their game against the league outsider BrGU COR Victoria (0-9) crushing them 100-54 in the Belarusian Premier League on Wednesday night. She recorded 17 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 22 minutes. SBK Olimpia Grodno (7-0) is placed first in the Premier League. So far her team won all seven games in the Regular Season. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be extremely important. Alyoshkina is the league's best rebounder with 11.3rpg. This year her other stats are: 12.4ppg and 1.3apg in the seven games. Alyoshkina is also Ukrainian national team player.

Center Alina Iordan (190-88, currently plays in Belarus) helped Tsmoki-Minsk win their game against the closely-ranked Sozh Gomel (3-6) 71-54 in the Belarusian Premier League on Thursday night. Iordan recorded 10 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. BK Tsmoki-Minsk (7-1) is placed second in the Premier League. It was her team's sixth consecutive victory in a row. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. Iordan is currently sixth on the league's list of best rebounders. She has very solid stats this season: 10.1ppg and 7.8rpg. Iordan used to play for the Ukrainian U20 national team back in 2008.

Former international power forward Olesia Malashenko (189-91, another player represented by LBM Management, currently plays in France), who plays in the French LFB could not help Arras (3-11) to beat Lyon (9-5). She scored only 4 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 27 minutes. Arras lost 49-55 at home to the much higher-ranked (#4) Lyon. This year Malashenko's overall stats are: 7.4ppg and 2.0rpg in the five games. She used to play for the Ukrainian national team two years ago.

   #10. Center Anna Kiriyenko (190-93, currently plays in Belarus) faced previously mentioned Aleksandra Khomenchuk in the Belarusian Premier League last game. Kiriyenko, who plays in the Belarusian Premier League was not able to help Sozh Gomel (10-2) in their last game on Wednesday. Despite her very good performance Sozh Gomel was badly defeated 81-65 on the road by the lower-ranked Gorizont (#3). Kiriyenko was the top scorer with 21 points. She also added 8 rebounds (made all of her five free throws). There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. Kiriyenko is ranked second on the list of the top scorers in the league and also on the list of best rebounders (second place). She has individually a very good season with high stats. Kiriyenko averages: 17.2ppg, 10.1rpg and 1.2apg. She is U20 international player who is currently on the Ukrainian National Team roster.

   #11. U18 international forward Tetyana Lysenko (180-93, currently plays in Belarus) is a teammate of previously mentioned Anna Kiriyenko. She played also in the last Belarusian Premier League game facing Alina Iordan (above) in the other team. Lysenko was not able to secure a victory for Sozh Gomel in their game against Tsmoki-Minsk. She recorded 8 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 34 minutes. Her team was badly defeated by 17 points 71-54. Lysenko is currently first on the list of best blockers with 0.0bpg. This year her other stats are: 6.8ppg and 5.0rpg in the nine games. Lysenko used to play for the Ukrainian U18 national team last year.


The list of other players, who all have Ukrainian passport but never been selected to any of Ukrainian national teams:

   #1. Yuliya Andreyeva (188-SF-83, currently plays in France), who plays in the French LFB could not help Nantes Reze (8-6) to beat Charleville-Mezieres (6-8). Andreyeva recorded 9 points and added 3 assists in 20 minutes. But Nantes Reze lost 71-84 on the road to the lower-ranked (#10) Charleville-Mezieres. Andreyeva has been at the team for eight years. This season her overall stats are: 4.9ppg and 2.0rpg in the 14 games she played so far. Andreyeva has a dual citizenship: Ukrainian and French.

   #2. Katia Levitsky (190-PF-85, agency: Data Plus Group, college: Villanova, currently plays in Israel) led Elitzur Ramla to an easy victory against one of league's weakest teams Elitzur Holon (1-6) crushing them 86-62 in the Israeli D1 on Friday night. She scored 14 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. Elitzur Ramla (6-2) is placed second in the D1. It was her team's fifth consecutive victory in a row. Levitsky is currently fourth on the league's list of best blockers. Her overall stats this season are: 9.9ppg, 5.4rpg, 1.7apg and 1.4bpg. Levitsky is another player who holds two passports: Ukrainian and Israeli.

   #3. Anna Sokolan (178-G-84, currently plays in Bulgaria) contributed to Neftochimic's victory against the fifth-ranked Levski (5-7) 78-69 in the Bulgarian NBL in Tuesday night's game. She recorded 8 points. Neftochimic 2010 Burgas (12-0) is placed first in the NBL. So far her team won all twelve games in the Regular Season. Sokolan is one of the most experienced players in a team as it's her seventh year in Neftochimic's roster. This season Sokolan has relatively solid stats: 10.3ppg, 3.6rpg, 1.8apg and 1.1spg. She has both Ukrainian and Russian nationalities.

   #4. Tatiana Shapochkina (179-G-85, currently plays in Belarus) led Olimpia GrGAU to an easy victory against the league outsider BrGU COR Victoria (0-9) crushing them 100-54 in the Belarusian Premier League last Wednesday. Shapochkina recorded 15 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 28 minutes. SBK Olimpia Grodno (7-0) is placed first in the Premier League. So far her team won all seven games in the Regular Season. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. Shapochkina is currently fourth on the list of top scorers and also on the list of best passers (sixth place). National League newcomer Avangard Kyiv added to their roster experienced 35-year old Ukrainian ex-international forward Olena Ogorodnikova (186-81). She played last season at CREF Hola in Spanish LFB league. In 7 games she recorded 5.7ppg and 3.6rpg.
