The Regular Season in Superleague is slowly approaching the end. But there may be still some important changes in the final standings in the last 5 rounds.

The most exciting game of round 34 in the Superleague took place in Lviv. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of much higher ranked Azovmash (17-6) to fifth ranked Halychyna (14-10) 80-78 on Wednesday evening. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Azovmash. Serbian power forward Vladan Vukosavljevic (206-84, agency: Beo Basket) fired a double-double by scoring 24 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. American point guard Darrel Mitchell (181-84, college: LSU, agency: Beo Basket) chipped in 22 points. The former international center Oleksiy Pecherov (213-85) produced 26 points and 5 rebounds for lost side. Azovmash's coach Sergei Zavalin rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Halychyna have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place. Azovmash at the other side keeps the second position with six games lost. They share it with Ferro-ZNTU. Halychyna are looking forward to face BC Donetsk (#7) at home in the next round. Azovmash will play against Hoverla (#5) in Frankivsk and is hoping to win this game.
Another exciting game was played in Frankivsk between seventh ranked BC Donetsk and 4th ranked Hoverla where BC Donetsk (12-10) won against Hoverla (13-11) on the road 83-72. Worth to mention a great performance of Lithuanian power forward Darius Songaila (204-78, college: Wake Forest, agency: Priority Sports) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 9 rebounds. D'or Fischer contributed with 14 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. BC Donetsk's coach Josep Berrocal allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American Kyndall Dykes (190-87, college: New Orleans, agency: Edge Sports) replied with 18 points and 5 rebounds for Hoverla. Defending champion maintains seventh position with 12-10 record. Hoverla at the other side dropped to the fifth place with 11 games lost. BC Donetsk will play against higher ranked Halychyna (#4) in Lviv in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Hoverla will play at home against Azovmash in Mariupol and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Another exciting game was played in Frankivsk between seventh ranked BC Donetsk and 4th ranked Hoverla where BC Donetsk (12-10) won against Hoverla (13-11) on the road 83-72. The game without a history. BC Donetsk led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Lithuanian power forward Darius Songaila (204-78, college: Wake Forest, agency: Priority Sports) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 9 rebounds. American-Trinidad and Tobago center D'or Fischer (211-81, college: W.Virginia) contributed with 14 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. BC Donetsk's coach Josep Berrocal allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American Kyndall Dykes (190-87, college: New Orleans, agency: Edge Sports) replied with 18 points and 5 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Eugene Lawrence (184-86, college: St.John's, agency: Two Points) added 15 points and 7 assists in the effort for Hoverla. 23-year old guard Kirilo Zuev (193-G-93) had a great game in the last round for second-ranked Azovmash and receives a Court Side Higher League Player of the Week award for round 19. He had a double-double of 15 points and 17 rebounds, while his team edged out SumDU (#5, 4-18) in overtime 74-71. Azovmash maintains the 2nd position in their group in Ukrainian Higher League.
