Kirovograd (Higher League) tabbed 30-year old American guard Patrick Sparks (184-83, college: Kentucky). He already started the season at Hoverla (Superleague). In 13 games this season he averaged 7.7ppg, 3.4rpg, 3.5apg and 1.5spg. The last season Sparks played at Phoenix Hagen in German BBL. In 5 games last year he had 4.6ppg, 1.2rpg, 5.0apg and 1.2spg. The most of previous (10-11) season he spent at BC Odessa. In 22 Superleague games that season he had 9.3ppg, 3.0rpg, 4.8apg (top 4) and 1.8spg (in top 3). Sparks also played at AEK Athens earlier that season. In 8 games that year he had 5.4ppg and 1.1apg (top 4).
In 2006 he was drafted by Indiana Alley Cats (CBA) in fourth round (35th overall).
The former University of Kentucky star is in his seventh season in pro basketball.
Among other achievements His team made it to the SEC Tournament Semifinals in 2006. Sparks received also Eurobasket.com All-Ukrainian UBL Honorable Mention award back in 2009. He represented USA at the World University Games in Izmir eight years ago.
Sparks has played also professionally in Portugal (Benfica), Russia (Spartak St.Petersburg) and Germany (LTi 46ers and Walter Tigers).

The Regular Season in Superleague just started. There was no lack of interesting games this round. The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Bipa Basket (0-1) in Zaporozhye on Friday night. Visitors were edged by Zaporizhya (1-0) 89-87. Bipa Basket was trailing by 7 points at halftime but managed to get 2-point lead after three quarters before a 24-20 charge of Zaporizhya, which allowed them to win the game. SK Cherkasy Monkeys (Superleague) signed experienced 34-year old Russian-Nigerian center Aleksey Adediran (202-110kg-82, college: Binghamton). He played last season at Energy Invest Rustavi in Georgia Superleague. In 6 games he had just 2.5ppg and 1.2rpg. BC Kremen Kremenchuk (Superleague) confirmed in their roster American point guard Rob Woodson (180-84kg, college: Grand Valley State). He played there last season. Woodson's team made it to the Superleague Semifinals. He was voted All-GLIAC 2nd Team in 2014 at his college time. Woodson is quite experienced player.
