Traditionally, every week we bring you a list of the top performances of Ukrainians who are currently playing abroad.

   #1. This week's number one is an international guard Steven Burtt (185-84, college: Iona, currently plays in Turkey). He led Tofas to a 1-point victory over the 14th-ranked Olin Edirne (3-11) 73-72 in the Turkish TBL in Saturday night's game. Burtt was MVP of the game. He scored 18 points and added 5 passes in 40 minutes on the court. Tofas Bursa (6-8) is placed ninth in the TBL. It's Burtt's first season with the team. Burtt belongs to league's top scorers and is ranked #4 with 17.4ppg. He also averaged so far 2.7rpg, 4.1apg, 2FGP: 52.1%, 3FGP: 37.1% and FT: 75.9% in the 14 games he played so far. Burtt is a naturalized American. He is currently a member of the Ukrainian senior national team. Burtt used to play for Ferro-ZNTU Zaporozhye in Ukrainian league.

   #2. Second place goes to U20 international center Alex Len (216-93, currently plays college basketball in the States). He led Maryland to an easy victory against the Virginia Tech (0-1) crushing them 94-71 in the NCAA last Saturday. Len scored 16 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. The University of Maryland has 1-0 conference record this season. Len is currently seventh on the league's list of best rebounders and also on the list of best blockers (second place). This season he averages:, 2.7rpg, 4.1apg, 2FGP: 52.1%, 3FGP: 37.1% and FT: 75.9%. Len is in the roster of the Ukrainian U20 national team.

   #3. The Ukrainian player who performed third best last week abroad was former international power forward Serhiy Lishchuk (210-82, agency: Beo Basket, currently plays in Spain). He managed to help Valencia Basket in a victory against the tenth-ranked Unicaja Malaga (8-7) 82-64 in the Spanish ACB on Sunday night. Lishchuk scored only 3 points and grabbed 8 rebounds in 16 minutes. Valencia Basket (11-4) is placed third in the ACB. Lishchuk has been at the team for four years. This season his overall stats are: 7.0ppg, 4.0rpg, 2FGP: 51.1% and FT: 82.8% in the 10 games. Lishchuk played for the Ukrainian national team two years ago.

   #4. Forward Vladyslav Kondratyev (203-90, currently studies in the States) contributed to an easy victory against the St.Francis College (PA) (1-1) crushing them 78-58 in the NCAA in Saturday night's game. He scored 8 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. The Bryant University has 2-0 conference record this season. Kondratyev plays fourth season for the team. Kondratyev's total stats this year are: 7.0ppg and 4.0rpg. He used to play for the Ukrainian U20 national team back in 2010.

Former U20 international center Olexandr Berhin (205-85, currently plays in Russia), who plays in the Russian Superleague (second division) could not help Volgograd (4-10) to beat Sojuz Zaretchny (3-11). Berhin scored 7 points and grabbed 9 rebounds in 30 minutes. Volgograd was edged 44-41 at home by the one of league's weakest teams (#14) Sojuz Zaretchny. This year Berhin's total stats are: 9.3ppg, 5.5rpg and 1.2apg in the 13 games. He used to play for the Ukrainian U20 national team eight years ago.

   #6. Guard Vitaly Boyko (183-82, currently plays in Russia) is a teammate of previously mentioned Olexandr Berhin and both played together in the last Russian Superleague game. Boyko was not able to help Volgograd (4-10) in their game against Sojuz Zaretchny (3-11). He scored 5 points, had 6 rebounds and dished 3 assists. Volgograd was edged 44-41 on their home court in Volgograd by the one of league's weakest teams Sojuz Zaretchny (#14). Boyko belongs to league's top scorers and is ranked #5. He has individually a very good season with high stats. Boyko averages: 15.4ppg, 5.3rpg, 3.3apg and 1.2spg. He is a former international player as he played for the Ukrainian senior team seven years ago.


The list of other players, who all have Ukrainian passport but never been selected to any of Ukrainian national teams:

   #1. Experienced Maksym Shtein (206-C-80, agency: Limelight Hoops, currently plays in Germany), who plays in the German ProB (third division) could not help Weissenhorn Youngstars (8-5) to beat Leitershofen (5-8). Shtein recorded 9 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists and made 2 blocks in 31 minutes. But the second-placed Weissenhorn Youngstars lost 81-89 on the road to the much lower-ranked (#10) Leitershofen in the Group South. This year Shtein's total stats are: 7.8ppg, 5.3rpg and 1.8apg in the 13 games he played so far. He has a dual citizenship: Ukrainian and German.

   #2. Igor Nesterenko (201-C/F-90, currently plays in Israel) contributed to an easy victory against the tenth-ranked Beer Yaakov (4-7) crushing them 94-66 in the Israeli National League (second division) on Tuesday night. Nesterenko scored 10 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. Elitzur Yavne (8-3) is placed second in the National League. Nesterenko's total stats this season are: 8.8ppg and 5.5rpg. He is another player who holds two passports: Ukrainian and Israeli. Despite Nesterenko's Ukrainian nationality, he previously played for the Israeli U20 national team and is probably not eligible to play for the Ukrainian team.

   #3. Dmitro Gerasymenko (199-F-78, currently plays in Russia) was not able to help Volgograd (4-10) in their game against Sojuz Zaretchny (3-11) in the Russian Superleague (second division). Gerasymenko cannot count Sunday's game as one of the best ones. He scored only 1 points in 23 minutes. Volgograd was edged 44-41 at home by the one of league's weakest teams (#14) Sojuz Zaretchny. Gerasymenko has averaged so far 3.3ppg and 2.1rpg in the 11 games.

Ironi Nahariya (Winner League) confirmed in their roster 27-year old naturalized Ukrainian center Igor Nesterenko (203-90). He played there last season. Nesterenko managed to play in three leagues last year. In 32 Winner League games he had 3.2ppg and 1.2rpg. He also played 2 games in FIBA Europe Cup where he recorded just 1.0ppg. Eskisehir Basket (TBL) signed 30-year old Ukrainian international center Viacheslav Kravtsov (212-115kg-87, agency: BeoBasket). He played last season at Valencia Basket in Spanish Liga Endesa. In 19 games he had 6.3ppg and 3.3rpg. Kravtsov helped them to win the league title (twice) (also twice). He also played 12 games in Eurocup where he recorded 7.8ppg, 3.8rpg and 1.1bpg. Dnipro Dnepropetrovsk (Superleague) signed 29-year old ex-international forward Alexander Sizov (198-98kg-88). It is actually his comeback to Dnepropetrovsk as he has played here before. Sizov has played for the last two seasons at SK Cherkasy Monkeys in the Superleague. In 34 games he had 6.6ppg, 4.2rpg, 3.1apg and 1.0spg last season. Sizov helped them to make it to the semifinals.
