Traditionally, every week we bring you a list of the top performances of Ukrainians who are currently playing abroad.

   #1. This week's number one is an international forward Olexandra Kurasova (186-86, currently plays in Spain). She led Rivas Ecopolis to a victory over the seventh-ranked Hondarribia-Irun (4-6) crushing them 77-51 in the Spanish LFB in Saturday night's game. Kurasova was MVP of the game. She scored 13 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in 26 minutes on the court. Rivas Ecopolis (10-0) is placed first in the LFB. So far her team won all ten games in the Regular Season. Kurasova has relatively good stats this year: 10.1ppg, 6.4rpg, 2FGP: 47.2% and FT: 92.9% in the eight games she played so far. She is currently a member of the Ukrainian senior national team.

   #2. Second place goes to former international forward Katerina Dorogobuzova (190-90, agency: LBM Management, currently plays in Hungary). She was the major contributor in Bacsbasket's victory against the closely-ranked Atomeromu (10-5) 79-61 in the Hungarian A Division on Saturday night. Dorogobuzova recorded 16 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in 28 minutes. Bacsbasket Kft. Baja (9-7) is placed fifth in the A Division. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. It's Dorogobuzova's first season with the team. Dorogobuzova belongs to league's top scorers and is ranked #3 with 15.8ppg. This year her other stats are: 5.3rpg, 1.6spg, 2FGP: 53.1%, 3FGP: 41.9% and FT: 69.4% in the 16 games. Dorogobuzova played for the Ukrainian national team in 2011.

   #3. The Ukrainian player who performed third best last week abroad was an international center Viktoria Mircheva (190-87, currently plays in France), who plays in the French LFB. She could not help Nantes Reze (8-7) to beat Villeneuve D'Ascq (5-10). Mircheva scored 8 points. Nantes Reze was edged 56-55 on the road by the lower-ranked Villeneuve D'Ascq (#12). This season Mircheva averages: 8.3ppg, 3.5rpg, 2FGP: 42.5%, 3FGP: 9.1% and FT: 84.6%. She has a dual citizenship: Ukrainian and Bulgarian. Mircheva is also a member of the Ukrainian senior national team.

   #4. Center Valeriya Berezhynska (193-86, agency: Josep and Nicolas, college: Rice, currently plays in Poland) contributed to an easy victory against the league outsider PTK Pabianice (0-13) crushing them 80-49 in the Polish PLKK last Sunday. She recorded 6 points in only 14 minutes. CCC Polkowice (11-1) is placed first in the PLKK. It was her team's third consecutive victory in a row. This year Berezhynska's overall stats are: 8.8ppg, 3.3rpg and 1.5spg in the 13 games. She used to play for the Ukrainian national team back in 2010.

   #5. Former international power forward Olesia Malashenko (189-91, also represented by LBM Management, currently plays in France) was not able to help Arras (3-12) in their game against Basket Landes (9-6) in the French LFB. Malashenko scored 7 points, had 6 rebounds and made 3 blocks. Arras was defeated 63-57 in Mont de Marsan by the much higher-ranked Basket Landes (#5). Malashenko's total stats this season are: 7.3ppg and 2.7rpg. She used to play for the Ukrainian national team three years ago.


The list of other players, who all have Ukrainian passport but never been selected to any of Ukrainian national teams:

   #1. Katia Levitsky (190-PF-85, agency: Data Plus Group, college: Villanova, currently plays in Israel) led Elitzur Ramla to a victory over the sixth-ranked Galil Elion (4-6) 69-58 in the Israeli D1 last Thursday. Levitsky was the best player in that game. She recorded a double-double by scoring 17 points and getting 12 rebounds. Elitzur Ramla (7-3) is placed second in the D1. Levitsky is currently fifth on the list of best blockers. This season she averages: 10.0ppg, 5.8rpg, 1.8apg and 1.2bpg. Levitsky has a dual citizenship: Ukrainian and Israeli.

   #2. Yuliya Andreyeva (188-SF-83, currently plays in France), who plays in the French LFB could not help Nantes Reze (8-7) to beat Villeneuve D'Ascq (5-10). Andreyeva cannot count it as her best performance. She scored only 2 points in 12 minutes. Nantes Reze was edged 56-55 on the road by the lower-ranked (#12) Villeneuve D'Ascq. Andreyeva has been at the team for eight years. This season Andreyeva's total stats are: 4.7ppg and 1.9rpg in the 15 games she played so far. She is another player who holds two passports: Ukrainian and French.

21-year old power forward Tetyana Yurkevicius (187-F/C-95) had a very impressive game in the last round for Blyskavky and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 10. She had a double-double of 20 points and 16 rebounds, while her team outclassed DVUFK (#8, 1-13) with 37-point margin 74-37. Blyskavky is placed at 5th position in Ukrainian Superleague. Superleague Round 10: Suzirja beats DVUFK by three after a very close game - 3 days ago
Eighth-ranked DVUFK (1-13) used its home court advantage to challenge fourth ranked Suzirja (7-4) in Dnepropetrovsk on Saturday. The visitors from Rivne managed to secure only three-point victory 55-52. However their fans expected much easier game. DVUFK cut a 14-point halftime deficit to three at the end of the game.
