Here is the weekly review of the top performing Ukrainian players, who play currently abroad.

   #1. This week's number one is an international guard Steven Burtt (185-84, college: Iona, currently plays in Turkey), who plays in the Turkish TBL. He could not help one of league's weakest teams Tofas (6-9) in their last game. Despite Burtt's very good performance Tofas lost 89-93 at home to the higher-ranked (#9) Erdemir. He was the top scorer with 26 points. Burtt also added 5 assists in 37 minutes on the court. Burtt is ranked third on the list of the top scorers in the league with 17.9ppg. He also averaged so far 2.7rpg, 4.2apg, 2FGP: 52.8%, 3FGP: 36.3% and FT: 76.2% in the 15 games he played so far. Burtt is a naturalized American. He is currently a member of the Ukrainian senior national team. Burtt used to play for Ferro-ZNTU Zaporozhye in Ukrainian league.

   #2. Second place goes to U20 international center Alex Len (216-93, currently plays college basketball in the States), who plays in the NCAA. He was not able to help the Maryland (1-1) in their last game. Despite Len's very good performance the Maryland was edged 65-62 on their home court in College Park, MD by the Florida State University. He had a double-double by scoring 15 points and getting 10 rebounds. Len also added 2 blocks in 30 minutes. Len has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 19.3ppg, 6.0rpg, 2FGP: 67.4%(93-138), 3FGP: 40.6% and FT: 70.3% in the 13 games. Len is in the roster of the Ukrainian U20 national team.

   #3. The Ukrainian player who performed third best last week abroad was former U20 international forward Vladyslav Kondratyev (203-90, currently studies in the States). He led Bryant to a victory against the Quinnipiac College (1-3) 103-95 in the NCAA last Thursday. Kondratyev recorded 13 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 24 minutes. The Bryant University has 4-0 conference record this season. So far his team won all four games in the conference. It's Kondratyev's fourth year with the team. He has relatively good stats this season: 13.8ppg, 5.1rpg, 6.4apg, 1.5spg, 2FGP: 22.7%, 3FGP: 35.6% and FT: 78.6% in the eight games. Kondratyev played for the Ukrainian U20 national team three years ago.

   #4. Power forward Serhiy Lishchuk (210-82, agency: Beo Basket, currently plays in Spain) was not able to secure a victory for Valencia Basket (12-5) in their game against Lagun Aro GBC (3-14) in the Spanish ACB. He did not beat the league record on Saturday evening. Lishchuk scored only 3 points. Valencia Basket was defeated 76-68 on the road by the one of league's weakest teams Lagun Aro GBC (#17). They ended the series of three consecutive victories. Lishchuk has been at the team for four years. His overall stats this season are: 6.3ppg and 3.6rpg. Lishchuk used to play for the Ukrainian national team back in 2011.

   #5. Former University international forward Dmytro Khodov (203-87, agency: New Trend Agency, currently plays in Belarus) contributed to an easy victory against the closely-ranked Rubon (8-5) crushing them 94-69 in the Belarusian Premier League in Friday night's game. He scored 12 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 27 minutes. It was his first game for Sozh Gomel this season. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. His team is placed second in the Premier League. It was Sozh Gomel's fourth consecutive victory in a row. Khodov used to play for the Ukrainian university national team two years ago.

   #6. Center Olexandr Berhin (205-85, currently plays in Russia), who plays in the Russian Superleague (second division) couldn't help Volgograd (4-11) in their last game on Friday. Despite his very good performance Volgograd was crushed 91-68 in Surgut by the leading Universitet-Yugra. Berhin was the top scorer with 17 points. He also added 4 rebounds and 4 assists. It's Berhin's first season with the team. Berhin's overall stats this year are: 9.9ppg, 5.4rpg and 1.4apg. He is a former U20 international player as he played for the Ukrainian team eight years ago.

Former U20 international point guard Oleksandr Dolenko (191-90, also represented by New Trend Agency, currently plays in Belarus), who plays in the Belarusian Premier League couldn't help Svisloch (3-10) in their last game. Despite Dolenko's good performance Svisloch lost 67-76 in Minsk to the higher-ranked (#4) Tsmoki- II. He was the second best scorer with 12 points. Dolenko also added 7 rebounds and dished 7 assists in 38 minutes. It was his first game for Svisloch this season. Dolenko used to play for the Ukrainian U20 national team three years ago.

Guard Maksym Ozhegov (190-90, another player represented by New Trend Agency, currently plays in Belarus) is a teammate of previously mentioned Dmytro Khodov and both played together in the last Belarusian Premier League game. Ozhegov managed to help BK Sozh Gomel to win against the closely-ranked Rubon (8-5) crushing them 94-69. He scored only 2 points and added 5 assists. It was his first game for Sozh Gomel this season. Ozhegov used to play for the Ukrainian U20 national team back in 2010.

Former U20 international forward Maks Adam Konate (200-91, another player represented by New Trend Agency, currently plays in Belarus) is a teammate of previously mentioned Oleksandr Dolenko and both played together in the last Belarusian Premier League game. Konate couldn't help Svisloch (3-10) in their game against Tsmoki-Minsk II (6-7). He scored 9 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. It was his first game for Svisloch this season. But Svisloch was defeated 76-67 in Minsk by the higher-ranked Tsmoki- II (#4). Konate used to play for the Ukrainian U20 national team three years ago.

   #10. An experienced guard Pavel Agapov (198-79, currently plays in Russia) couldn't help one of league's weakest teams Ataman (9-5) in their game against Novosybirsk (11-4) in the Russian Superleague (second division). He recorded 8 points in 17 minutes. Ataman lost 85-90 on their home court in Rostov to the higher-ranked (#3) Novosybirsk. It was Ataman's third consecutive loss in a row. This year Agapov's overall stats are: 2.8ppg and 2.2rpg in the 10 games. He is a former university international player as ten years ago he still played for the Ukrainian national team.

   #11. Former international guard Vitaly Boyko (183-82, currently plays in Russia) is a teammate of previously mentioned Olexandr Berhin. But that was another game of his team in Russian Superleague which we would like to mention. Boyko couldn't help Volgograd in their game against Sojuz Zaretchny. He scored 5 points, had 6 rebounds and dished 3 assists in 33 minutes. His team was edged 44-41. Boyko is ranked fifth on the list of the top scorers in the league with 15.4ppg. This year he also averages: 5.3rpg, 3.3apg and 1.2spg in the 13 games. Boyko used to play for the Ukrainian national team seven years ago.

   #12. Former international guard Dmitri Dyatlovsky (196-85, agency: Promotex, currently plays in Baltic League) couldn't help Barsy Atyrau in their game against Pieno Zvaigzdes in the Baltic League. Dyatlovsky scored 6 points in 21 minutes. His team was crushed by 36 points 93-57. This year his total stats are: 7.5ppg, 2.3rpg and 1.5apg in the 12 games. Dyatlovsky used to play for the Ukrainian national team back in 2004.


The list of other players, who all have Ukrainian passport but never been selected to any of Ukrainian national teams:

   #1. Sergei Miakinin (206-F/C-86, currently plays in Belarus) led Sozh Gomel to a victory over the closely-ranked Rubon (8-5) crushing them 94-69 in the Belarusian Premier League last Friday. He was MVP of the game. Miakinin scored 36 points (!!!) and grabbed 5 rebounds. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. BK Sozh Gomel (11-2) is placed second in the Premier League. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. Miakinin is currently third on the list of top scorers and also on the list of best rebounders (seventh place). He has individually a very good season with high stats. Miakinin averages: 19.3ppg and 6.0rpg.

   #2. Rinalds Sirsnins (186-PG-85, currently plays in Latvia), who plays in the Latvian LBL could not help Jekabpils (10-8) in their last game on Thursday. Despite his good performance Jekabpils was edged in an overtime 95-93 on the road by the lower-ranked Liepaja (#9). Sirsnins scored 13 points, had 7 rebounds and dished 4 assists. There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Sirsnins has relatively good stats this season: 13.8ppg, 5.1rpg, 6.4apg and 1.5spg.

   #3. Experienced Maksym Shtein (206-C-80, agency: Limelight Hoops, currently plays in Germany) was not able to help Weissenhorn Youngstars (9-5) in their game against Leitershofen (6-8) in the German ProB (third division). Shtein recorded 9 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists and made 2 blocks in 31 minutes. But the second-placed Weissenhorn Youngstars lost 81-89 in Diedorf to the much lower-ranked (#9) Leitershofen in the Group South. This year Shtein's overall stats are: 7.8ppg, 5.3rpg and 1.8apg in the 13 games he played so far. He has a dual citizenship: Ukrainian and German.

   #4. Sergei Dadukin (198-F-83, currently plays in Belarus) is a teammate of previously mentioned Sergei Miakinin and both played together in the last Belarusian Premier League game. Dadukin managed to help BK Sozh Gomel to win against the closely-ranked Rubon (8-5) crushing them 94-69. He scored only 2 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. Dadukin is currently second on the list of best rebounders. He has very reliable stats this season: 13.1ppg, 10.0rpg, 3.2apg and 1.6spg.

   #5. Nikola Polyulyak (192-G-90, agency: New Trend Agency, currently plays in Belarus) was not able to secure a victory for Svisloch (3-10) in their game against Tsmoki-Minsk II (6-7) in the Belarusian Premier League. He scored 9 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in 30 minutes. It was his first game for Svisloch this season. But Svisloch lost 67-76 in Minsk to the higher-ranked (#4) Tsmoki- II.

   #6. Ivan Kaliayev (201-F-87, currently plays in Belarus) is a teammate of previously mentioned Sergei Miakinin. He played also in the last Belarusian Premier League game facing Sergei Dadukin (above) in the other team. Kaliayev contributed to an easy victory against the closely-ranked Rubon crushing them 94-69. He scored only 3 points. Kaliayev's total stats this season are: 7.4ppg, 4.6rpg, 1.9apg and 1.6spg.

   #7. Igor Nesterenko (201-C/F-90, currently plays in Israel) couldn't help Elitzur Yavne in their game against Hapoel Afula in the Israeli National League (second division). He scored 6 points. His team was defeated 90-75. Nesterenko's total stats this season are: 8.6ppg and 5.3rpg. He is another player who holds two passports: Ukrainian and Israeli. Despite Nesterenko's Ukrainian nationality, he previously played for the Israeli U20 national team and is probably not eligible to play for the Ukrainian team.

   #8. Dmitro Gerasymenko (199-F-78, currently plays in Russia) couldn't help Volgograd in their game against Universitet-Yugra in the Russian Superleague (second division). Gerasymenko recorded 7 points in 30 minutes. His team was crushed by 23 points 91-68. This year his total stats are: 3.6ppg and 2.2rpg in the 12 games.

   #9. Vadim Matyukevych (208-C-80, currently plays in Baltic League) couldn't help Barsy Atyrau in their game against Pieno Zvaigzdes in the Baltic League. Matyukevych scored only 4 points. His team was crushed by 36 points 93-57. Matyukevych is currently fourth on the league's list of best rebounders. He has very reliable stats this season: 12.3ppg and 7.5rpg.

American Brandon Fields (193-G-88) had a great game in the last round for league's leader Budivelnyk and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 34. The 28-year old guard got a double-double of 21 points and ten assists, while his team outclassed Mykolaiv (#7, 11-16) with 38-point margin 118-80. 27-year old forward Maxim Nikitin (201-F-89) had a very impressive game in the last round for Niko-Basket and receives a Eurobasket.com Higher League Player of the Week award for round 5 (Second Stage). He had a double-double of 21 points and 11 rebounds, while his team lost the game against Politekhn.Lvov (#5, 9-7) 86-98. Niko-Basket moved-up to the 8th position in Ukrainian Higher League. The Regular Season in Superleague just ended. Host teams show no mercy winning all games. Leader Budivelnyk delivered the twenty fifth victory on Saturday night. This time they crushed 7th ranked Mykolaiv (11-16) 118-80 in Kyiv. The game was mostly controlled by Budivelnyk. Mykolaiv managed to win second period 22-18.
