Coincidentally all hosts won their games.

The game between ninth ranked Cherkasy (13-13) and 7th ranked BC Donetsk (13-13) in Cherkasy on Sunday ended with biggest points difference. Cherkasy beat guests from Donetsk 82-67. The game was mostly controlled by Cherkasy. BC Donetsk managed to win third quarter 27-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great shooting night for Cherkasy especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.6 percentage. It was a good game for Lithuanian guard Tomas Delininkaitis (190-82) who led his team to a victory with 22 points and 5 assists. American forward Vincent Hunter (208-84, college: Arkansas) contributed with 16 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. American guard Ramel Curry (192-80, college: CSU Bakersfield) answered with 21 points for BC Donetsk. BC Donetsk's coach rotated eleven players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Cherkasy moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Mykolaiv and BC Donetsk.

In the last two games of round 39 DniproAzot was beaten by BC Odessa on the road 83-79. Khimik won against Dnipro on its own court 74-67.
The most impressive performance of 39th round was 32 points by Derrick Low of Dnipro.

BC Odessa - DniproAzot 83-79

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when twelfth ranked BC Odessa (9-17) beat at home 11th ranked DniproAzot (10-16) 83-79 on Sunday. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. BC Odessa made 31-of-41 free shots (75.6 percent) during the game. 32 personal fouls committed by DniproAzot helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for the former international center Stanislav Balashov (210-79) who led his team to a victory with 18 points and 7 rebounds. The former international Andriy Agafonov (208-86, agency: Interperformances) contributed with 15 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Five BC Odessa players scored in double figures. American guard Ronald Davis (190-82, college: Wisc.-Milwaukee) answered with 28 points and 6 rebounds and the other American import forward Sam Muldrow (205-88, college: S.Carolina) added 17 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for DniproAzot. BC Odessa have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain twelfth place with 9-17 record. DniproAzot at the other side keeps the eleventh position with 16 games lost.

Khimik - Dnipro 74-67

Very expected game when 13th ranked Dnipro (8-18) lost to fifth ranked Khimik (15-11) in Yuzhny 67-74 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 2-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 74-67. Khimik outrebounded Dnipro 45-32 including a 19-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a good game for American-Bulgarian point guard Willie Deane (188-80, college: Purdue, agency: Higher Vision Sports) who led his team to a victory with 24 points and 8 assists. The former international forward Vitaliy Kovalenko (203-84) contributed with 10 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Khimik's coach Zvezdan Mitrovic used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American point guard Derrick Low (188-86, college: Washington St.) answered with 32 points (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!) and Australian-Dutch power forward Daniel Kickert (208-83, college: St.Mary's, CA) added 14 points in the effort for Dnipro. Khimik maintains fifth place with 15-11 record. Dnipro lost third consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth position with 18 games lost.
